Scarlet Ghost

The sun peeks through the window of a college dorm room. The sun ray creeps across the floor and onto the face of the girl sleeping in the bed.

"Mmph" She grunts as she shields her face.

She then rolls over and blindly searches for her phone on the table beside her. She fumbles around until she finds it, then she unlocks it and checks the time.

Her eyes grow wide as she sees the current time and she jumps out of bed. "Oh crap it's 7:55! Our first class starts at 8!"

She picks up a pillow off of her bed and chunks it across the room at her room mate sleeping in the bed opposite from her.

An irritated sleepy voice answers from underneath the pillow "Ugh what is it? Why are you yelling?"

"Courtney it's 7:55 our first class starts at 8! We overslept!"

"Relax Michelle, the class is in the building directly in front of the dorm, we'll make it on time." Courtney mumbles while trying to go back to sleep.

"The class is in Rayne Hall, which is all the way on the other side of the campus." Michelle replies bluntly.

Courtney suddenly bolts upright in bed "You're kidding me right?"

"I wish." Michelle replies.

Courtney gets out of bed, and the two frantically get dressed and grab their back packs. They sprint down the hallway of their dorm building and run downstairs.

About 7 minutes later they arrive at Rayne Hall. They run to the room where their class has just started, and hurry into the room just as the teacher has introduced himself.

"We're here!" Courtney gasps.

"Sorry...sorry we're late!" Michelle says in between breaths.

Everyone just stares at them. The professor stares at them for a few seconds then he just continues with what he was saying.

The two best friends find a seat right beside each other towards the back of the class.

"...my name is Mr. Darby, and I will be your teacher for Western Civ I. My tests are multiple choice for this semester only, by that I mean after his semester if you take Western Civ II with me, the tests will be fill in the blank and matching and stuff like that..."

The rest of the class Michelle and Courtney try not to fall asleep as Mr. Darby put a power point presentation up on the screen and made everyone copy the notes off of it.

Finally, an hour and a half later, the class ends and the friends pack up their stuff and leave.

As they walk to their next class Courtney elbows Michelle "So you didn't forget that we were supposed to go see a movie tonight did you?"

Michelle elbows Courtney back. "No I didn't forget, how can I with you reminding me every minute of the day?" She jokes.

"I have to remind you. Your memory is getting pretty bad." Courtney replies.

"Says the one who forgot yesterday that she left her pudding cup in the dryer downstairs." Michelle says back.

"Don't act like it wasn't funny when Emily and Alyssa got hot pudding all over their clean clothes." Courtney retorts.

Michelle laughs "Yeah it was pretty funny, especially when they had to wear their pudding stained uniforms to the football game and it looked like they crapped themselves in the back."

"See my bad memory loss can be good sometimes." Courtney says with a proud smile.

"Sometimes." Michelle says.

Ya girl Scarlet is back and better than ever!! It's been awhile but I've been busy getting together this new story for all of you guys to enjoy!

I'm going to try to update as much as I can!
