Scarlet Ghost

Michelle's awakened by the sound of her alarm. She turns it off and finds that once again they've overslept.

"Courtney wake up we're late again!" Michelle shouts.

Courtney grunts and slowly gets up. She stops to clutch her head with one hand. "Woah that's a killer headache I have there."

"Same here. I'm also sore all over for some reason too." Michelle says.

"Me too." Courtney replies.

"It's probably from yesterday from us being beat up. Now we better hurry up." Michelle says.

They get ready for class they they run across campus to Rayne Hall again. They come into class just as Darby starts talking and they sit down and start taking notes.

A little bit later something strange starts happening. Both Courtney and Michelle break out into a cold sweat. They look at each other and try to go back to taking notes. Then they start hearing the sounds of everyone's hearts pumping blood through their veins.

"It's like I want to eat everyone's blood." Michelle whispers to Courtney.

"You hear the hearts and blood too?" Courtney whispers back.

"Yep. I don't know what's-" Michelle stops.

She feels the increasing urge to bite into someone's neck. Courtney stops too because she's feeling the same thing.

Just as they are about to lose it and attack and kill everyone in the room the fire alarm goes off. The weird blood trance wears off and they follow everyone out of the room and down the hall.

As Courtney and Michelle pass the girls' bathroom someone yanks them inside by their arms. They come face to face with a very angry looking Liz.

"Why did you two go to class?! Didn't you read the note I left you?" She says.

"We just thought it was from all the walking we did last night." Courtney says.

"No it's not from all the walking. It's from hunger. You two have to eat blood now as well as regular food." She stops and rubs her temples "What were you guys thinking going to class in this state you could've killed someone!"

"Sorry..." Michelle says.

"Ugh whatever. Just take these and drink the blood real quick." Liz says while shoving two blood packs into Courtney and Michelle's hands. "One for each of you go on drink up."

"Um where did you get these?" Courtney asks.

"That's not important just drink." Liz says quickly.

Michelle and Courtney take the blood packs and sink their fangs into them. After a few seconds the blood is all gone and the two of them feel a lot better.

"Man I already feel better." Michelle says.

"Of course you do." Liz takes the empty blood packs and wraps them in a plastic Walmart bag then she stuffs them into her backpack. "Now that crisis is averted, we'll have to train you two to not want to massacre people when you're hungry. That'll take mastering your hunger and your urge to kill."

"How are we going to do that?" Courtney asks.

"We'll talk about it later. Right now everyone is coming back so blend in with the crowd and go back to class." Liz says while walking out of the bathroom. She sticks her head back around the corner "Oh and try not kill anyone please."

So scary situation for our friends, but it's ok because Liz saved the day! Which is a recurring pattern in our story lol.
