The four of them start tailing Jasmine as soon as they spot her leaving the main gate of the college. They quickly follow along a good distance behind so she won't feel like she's being followed.
They have been following Jasmine for a few blocks before she suddenly goes into a laundromat. Quickly they all veer into the alley created by the big brick apartment complex directly across from the laundromat. That's when their objective became a steak out.
"Oh boy we're like real detectives doing a steak out!" Haley says excitedly.
"Wait if this is a steak out then where is the steak?" Courtney asks.
"There is no steak genius it's just what it's called." Liz replies.
"Aww I wanted some steak..." Courtney mumbles disappointedly.
Thirty minutes later the shenanigans start again.
Courtney looks over at Haley and notices that she is wearing her glasses and not her contacts "Hey why are you wearing your glasses you just had your contacts in."
"For my disguise." Haley replies with a shrug.
"But that doesn't do anything she could still tell it's you." Courtney points out.
"Not likely. I look like a completely different person when I put my glasses on." Haley says while crossing her arms.
Courtney is silent for a while. She narrows her eyes at Haley then reaches for Michelle's glasses on her face.
Michelle slaps Courtney's hand away "What are you doing?"
"I need glasses for a disguise. Now hand em' over!" Courtney says while trying to be intimidating.
Michelle just looks at her and crosses her arms. "No! You know I need these to see!"
"And?" Courtney says.
"And you're not getting them." Michelle finishes.
The two then proceed to get into an argument and then drag Haley into a small fight with them before Liz suddenly shushes them.
"Shut up you morons she's coming out of the laundromat!" Liz whispers.
They all crowd close to the corner of the alley to see where she goes. They quietly slip out of the alley and onto the sidewalk after her, careful not to give themselves away.
They follow her for about four blocks before she turns down an alley. They all wait a few minutes before turning down the same alley Jasmine went in, but to their surprise she had vanished into thin air!
Michelle looks around confused "What?"
"Umm I'm no expert but I'm sure people don't just disappear...you know unless they're magicians." Courtney says.
"You do know magicians don't really use magic right?" Haley asks.
"Whaat, don't lie to me Haley, I know they're magical beings." Courtney replies with her arms crossed and her eyes narrowed.
"This is not the time for this guys. We gotta figure out where she went and fast." Liz says while studying the alley way.
"Of course we lost her." Haley says while leaning against one of the alley walls "Why did we ever think-"
Suddenly the wall behind Haley opens up and she tumbles backwards with a surprised yell. Everyone rushes over to the opening and look down to find Haley had fallen onto her back right into Jasmine's secret lair. Michelle, Courtney, and Liz climb down the ladder and walk over to Haley.
Michelle and Courtney laugh at her sprawled out on her back, and Haley narrows her eyes and mutters something under her breath. Then she slowly gets up and joins them.
Upon further inspection they notice that they are in some sort of a concrete tunnel. It was wide enough for only one person to walk through at a time so everyone had to walk single file. They let Liz lead the way and then Haley, Michelle, and Courtney follow after her.
The tunnel is dimly lit by electric lights set at intervals into the concrete. There's just enough light to make out the tunnel floor and ceiling. They follow the tunnel until it comes to a metal door. Liz carefully turns the door knob and the door opens. Then they all creep into the next room.
