After much debate they decided that they would go back to the dorm and try to figure things out there. Unfortunately, that meant walking in broad daylight with Haley all the way there.

They have already started making their way down the sidewalk. There was a crowd of people swarming down the sidewalks, and surprisingly not many of them take notice of Haley's new form. But the people who do notice stare or shoot Haley weird looks.

Haley looks down nervously at the ground "Guys how much farther is it? I can't stand all these people looking at me!"

Liz looks at a street sign they pass under. "Well since we just passed that sign that means we have about...five blocks to go maybe."

Haley slouches a little in disappointment "I thought we would be closer than that. It feels like we've been walking forever!"

"It's ok we're getting there." Michelle says while giving Haley's shoulder a reassuring pat.

A couple passes them by and calls out to Courtney "Um why is she a wolf?" The lady asks.

"Oh she's my grandmother from Bulgaria. They're a little more stocky and hairy over there. She's totally not a werewolf I promise." Courtney replies.

Liz facepalms "I can't deal with this right now. I'm going to be walking way up in front of you guys."

"Umm...ok?" The man says slowly before him and his girlfriend quickly walk off.

"Courtney what in the world was that?" Haley asks.

"I'm covering for you." Courtney says matter of factly "I thought I just did a great job."

"I could say you did a lot of things just then but a good job wouldn't be one of them." Haley mumbles slightly ticked off.

They continue walking when another person stops and asks about Haley's appearance. Michelle and Haley hold their breath as they see Courtney open her mouth to answer.

"Her mom was a dog and her dad is from Russia. I know sounds crazy but that's just how genes work over there." Courtney explains.

The person who asked looks at Courtney skeptically and Michelle quickly jumps in "Ha Ha, my friend here sure has a sense of humor. She's actually on her way to a costume party at Mountain Blue Community College."

The person seems more satisfied with Michelle's answer and walks off.

By this point Haley is beyond ticked off. She looks like she could murder Courtney here and now.

"Why'd you say she was going to a costume party that's a lame excuse!" Courtney says.

"Oh Michelle's excuse is lame? I can't make up an excuse to save my life, but even I could come up with one better than what you just said about my mom being a dog and my dad being from Russia!" Haley says angrily.

"You're just mad because they believed it." Courtney says while crossing her arms.

Haley throws her hands up in exasperation "Maybe I should just jump off a bridge and end my suffering now."
