I pant as I try not to bump into trees or trip over roots. I feel like I'm running as fast as I can, but it obviously isn't fast enough since Laya just keeps getting closer and closer. Suddenly, I'm pushed onto the ground. I flip over to see Laya snarling in my face.

"Amanda? Amanda, where are you?" I hear a concerned voice call out. Saria's. I didn't answer, so Laya barked to get the princess to run over to me, causing Laya to jump off me. I sit up, ashamed and embarrassed.

"Why'd you run?" She asked.

"I thought you'd think I'm weird." I mumbled. She chuckled in response.

"You're weird? My eyes glow, I can float, I can talk to animals and I can control plants. I don't think you can get any weirder than that."

"That sounds more awesome than weird." I comment, giggling. I then look into her hazel eyes and gulp.
"Saria, I have something to tell you."
She sits up and her face looks serious, but also slightly saddened.
"I thought you were cute from the moment I first saw you and I think I've been developing feelings for you."
Saria looked quite confused.

"I love you, Saria." I confess. I look away for a few seconds, and when I look back I notice Saria is furiously blushing as she stares into my eyes.

"You... love me?" She asks, questioning my choice. I nod slightly. Saria's shock turns into happiness as her lips find mine. At first I'm extremely surprised but then ease into it. It was passionate and warm, but it doesn't feel forced. We pull apart.

"When did you learn how to kiss?" I asked, bewildered.

"In one of the books you brought me to read. 'Summer's Joys', remember?"
We stay silent for a while after that, until Saria starts giggling. I don't know why but I start giggling too. We soon burst into full out laughter.
I guess I have a girlfriend now. Go me!
