The Forest Princess [✓]

Attack

Eventually, I reach the centre of the forest where I find Saria and Laya sitting in a pool of sunlight. Jessica trots off towards Lyla while the princess immediately stands up and looks at me with worry.
"What are you doing here so early. Is something wrong?" Saria asks, moving toward me.

"I think I've done something bad that I won't be able to take back..." I answer.

"And whatever could that be?" Saria questions, taking my hands in hers.
I spend a few minutes informing the others of what had happened. Jessica gasped and Saria looked at me sympathetically.
"I'm sorry that had happened between you and your father." The princess said. I gave her a sad smile.

"It's okay..."

We all stand in silence, until we hear hollering from the edge of the forest. I gasp.
"Saria, Jessica, stay here." I demand. They look at me in shock as I run towards the shouting. I run there as fast as I can and I soon get close enough to hear what they're yelling about. Suddenly, the all get quiet.

"Today," A voice booms. My father's, "we end this forest and the witch once and for all! It has taken my wife and now it wants to take my daughter! We need to end this now! We've let it grow for too long! Let's end this now!"

After that, I hear a cheer and see people run into the forest, setting everything on fire. I run back to Saria and Jessica.
"They're coming!" I yell. Suddenly, Saria drops to the ground.
"Are you okay?" I asked panicked.

"Yeah, I'll be fine, but not for long. I am connected to this forest. When it is harmed, I am harmed."

"Get her out of here!" Jessica yells to me, "I'll direct them somewhere else and then I will come find you."
I nod. Laya lowers herself, allowing me to climb on and help Saria on too. Saria wraps her arms around my waist and leans her head on my back as I grip on to Laya's fur. The large wolf runs so fast, it feels like flying. Even though the situation we're in is bad, right now in this moment, I feel free. Soon, the cheering in the background fades out as we leave to a new part of the forest.
