AMANDA'S POV
After a few minutes, Lyla slows down to a walk and Saria stops floating. I breathe in and out a few times, trying to properly process what just happened. I look over to Jess and see she is shocked too. Saria looks even more so, and extremely exhausted. I notice that our surroundings start to get darker.
"Come on, guys. We need to find a place to sleep." I announce. I get off the wolf and help Saria on to her. We wander around for a bit before we find a small cave. It looked dry, and we made sure nothing already lived there. It seemed clean too. As usual, Lyla lays at the entrance of the cave. The moon's soft light shone through. The floor was quite hard, so we all rested out backs against Lyla and drifted off to sleep.Well... almost everyone. I couldn't sleep. I gazed at the night sky, at the stars, at the moon, hoping they would give me answers to questions I haven't asked. I sigh and continue looking outside the cave until I feel warmth. I look down and see Saria curled up right next to me. I put my arms around her and feel at peace. It felt as if time stopped, which I actually wish happened. I cherish this one tranquil moment before falling into a deep sleep.
__________
I slowly open my eyes to see I'm still in the cave alive. That's good. Lyla is still here by the entrance, Jessica's here, Saria's-
Where's Saria? Carefully, I stand up and look around. I'm about to go leave the cave and search when I hear muffled sniffles coming from the inside of the cave. I wearily start the journey, going deeper into the cave. I see a figure with their knees clenched tightly to their chest. As I get closer, the features of the person become clearer. It's Saria.
