"What were they doing here?" Ryuu asked with a roar at the bottom of his throat. "They were visiting. What's the problem?"
"You know how I feel about that."
"Well it's not like you're ever home." I immediately regretted that. The silence hurt, and his stare was piercing. "And who's fault is that?" Really? He's blaming me! I wanted to bash his head against the wall, but I knew that a physical fight was out of the question.
"I tried to save this, but we both knew that we weren't going to work." He snickered and I stated at him, curious as to why he thought this was funny.
"You tried? I proposed to you and moved for you! Don't make it seem like you're the saint in all this!"
"Please don't raise your voice, you wouldn't want your princess to see you angry." This was getting us no where. We were tired of each other, and it was obvious. I was especially tired of the glares and screams. "I'm so tired of this shit." He sighed.
"Than just leave." I could've sworn I saw hurt flash through his eyes, but it was gone just as fast as it came. "It's clear to see we're miserable, what's the point?"
"What about Lexi?"
"Lexi will be fine, she may be young but she's not stupid. She knows something wrong between us." I cut him off. "If she's so fine, than why do you keep lying to her about me coming home."
"Because I feel like she needs stability, and what we have here is not stable. A father who's never home, a mother who's stressing over when he will be back, and the fact that we can't even stand to be in the same room as each other, she needs better. And ao do we. You should go out, get a better job, and meet somebody you will love."
"What's going to happen with Lexi? Is she going to stay here?" He was going along with it? I thought for sure he'd argue more. "Until you're settled, and then we'll work out a schedule if that's what you want. You can stay here until you find a place, or there's a hotel by sabertooth." He looked around and walked out.
"Fine, but you have to explain to her why I'm gone." And with that he left. "Who else would?" I went back to her room and she was asleep on her bed with her stuffed frog. I smiled and kissed her forehead before leaving.

Rogue's P.O.V
"We should've stayed." I muttered as we walk back to the guild. "Why? So you and Ryuu could tear each other apart?" Sting laughed. The longer we're out the more I regret leaving.
"If I needed to, yes." Just after I said that, a guy pushed through us, and kept walking. "Outta my way." His voice seemed familiar. And his scent, how did I know it? Ryuu... That's it. Where's he going? We watched him walk away and turn into the nearby hotel.
"What's going on?" Lector asked. After a while I turned around and started to walk back to Ashe's. "Hey Rogue! Wait up!" Sting, Frosch, and Lector rushed up as I kept walking.
"Do you think she's ok?" Frosch looked scared as he sat on shoulder. I gave him a smile to calm him down. "Of course, Ashe is strong. She can take care of herself." He smiled and looked more relived now. "Fro thinks so too."
We arrived at her house and walked in. She was puttin boxes by the front door and smiled when she saw us.
"Do you need help?" Sting asked her and she replied with 'please.' We walked to her bed room as packed up Ryuu's stuff. the whole time we packed she didn't tear up or even look upset at the events that took place earlier. She looked as if she stood up taller, like this was a great weight lifted off her shoulder. Good, she deserves to be happy. I smiled and got back to packing, sometime watching as she moved around the room happily.
Hope you enjoyed and thank you for reading :) I'm working on the next chapter and hopefully will be posting it tomorrow <3

Alone No More (Rogue Cheney)
Fanfic"I-I just hate being alone." I watched as she cried, dying at the sound of her whimpers. "Who said you were alone?" I asked. The tears slowed and she looked at me with those eyes I loved. "You have me." I hugged her tight as she cried onto my robe...
