Ashe's P.O.V.

I took a deep breath and stared at the group now sitting right in front of me. "Alright, I'll tell you guys, from the beginning." Their gazes were intense, so to calm my nerves I downed another glass of wine before starting my story. "When I was little my aunt and uncle would stop by all the time to see us and tell us about their latest adventures. I was fascinated with the idea of magic and wizards, so I idolized my aunt, wanting to become her. Unfortunately I was told I was too young to train.

"Well, on my 10th birthday, my aunt and mother came to me and said I was finally able to start training. I took my training very seriously. I was ready by 7:30 sharp and would work until 5:30 that night, with small breaks in between. Even though I was weak, I wanted to get better, to prove I was the best, so I even started training when she wasn't around. After just a few months I could feel myself getting stronger, and not just in my magical abilities. Along side teaching me how to use magic, I was given a strict and demanding exercise, so my physical strength was good too.

"When I thought my training was coming to an end, my aunt came up to me and said she had something to help me. I allowed her to put the lacrima in my body and after only an hour, I could feel my magic coursing through me stronger than ever before. My physical strength increased as well, soon I was able to lift twice my weight. However when I would get too emotional, I would black out and the magic would make me do random acts depending on where I was at the time. So I had to learn to control my outbreaks.

"When I was 12, two years after my training began, aunt June died while on a mission. As devistated as I was, I promised to keep using my magic and practicing everyday to keep her memory alive. So I would go around town and help out the neighbors or shop keeps with whatever I could. But a year and a half later my father fell ill so I took a break. The doctors said it was just stress from work so he should relax, but when my mother came down with it as well, we knew something was wrong.

"My brother and I paid for several doctors to come and treat them, but none of them had ever seen this before, so they couldn't help. After months of searching we finally found a doctor from a neighboring country who knew quite a lot about this type of disease, so we hired him and had him stay in our back guest house. A month of researching went by and he came in to tell us that they were too far along and the 'cure' he made would only keep them alive for three months longer, at the most. We allowed him to treat them, wanting to enjoy our last few months as a family.

"After only a month they asked to see our cabin one last time so we wheeled them down. My brother had to leave for the weekend so it was just me and my parents. Everything was fine until they asked me to do the impossible." I let out a whimper as tears rushed down my face. Frosch was sitting in my and Rogue was rubbing my back to calm me down. "She asked me to kill them. they were suffering and knew death was coming, but I refused to do anything. After arguing with them for what felt like hours, they took drastic measures. They yelled out my biggest insecurities, saying I was weak, and making it seem like they hated me. I blacked out for the first time in two years and when I came to they apologized before passing on. It wasn't gruesome, I had done it gently, but I still hated myself for it. No one blamed me for it, they all said it was fir the best, but I refused to use my magic. So, five years later, I'm here with almost 100% control on this curse." I looked up and met with everyone's sad faces. Yukino looked like she wanted to hug me but didn't know if she should. I felt Frosch's hot tears on my arm as he silently cried.

Rufus stood up and walked over to me, hat behind his back. "I-I'm so sorry Ashe. I shouldn't have said those things, I didnt know."

"It's alright Rufus, you were right though. I would've been helpful in both a magic and physical fight." I gave him a weak smile and he nodded.

We disbanded as headed towards our rooms. Rogue offered to sleep with me again but I declined, knowing I'd keep him up. I got into my pajamas and wrapped the warm comforter around me, drifting off into a quiet sleep.

Illiana's P.O.V.

I woke up on the couch of an unfamiliar room and tugging on my arm. When my eyes focused I noticed the brunette curls instantly. "Lexi?"

"Oh yay you're awake. I was getting bored." She handed me a doll she had found on the floor and sat with me on the couch. She was in her pajamas, probably the ones they kidnapped her in. "You're the girl that Rogue and uncle Sting brought to dinner before, right?" I nodded and she continued to play with her doll while I looked around the room. Suddenly the doors opened and a tall man in a suit was standing in the entry.

"Excuse me Lexi, but I must borrow your guest." Lexi looked at him confused and nodded. I stood up and walked towards him and he grabbed my wrist tightly. I tried not to flinch as he dragged me to a different room, one less inviting then the one Lexi was in. He sat me in a chair and the man to my right sent shivers down my spine. He was the one who dragged me down to this hell hole in the first place. Than a hidden door opened and a familiar figure walked out.

"Mr. Chanslen?" When he heard my voice he glared at me than at the two men.

"What is this?"

"You said you wanted the girl." The brute answered.

"Well it's the wrong one!"

"This is my fault sir. There was only girl there so I assumed she was the one." Mr. Chanslen rubbed his temples and then sighed loudly. "Fine, we can just use her to get to Ashe." He stopped and smiled at me before he bent down to eye level, which wasn't far considering he's quite short. "Illi, darling, I need you to go fetch me Ashe, tonight."

"No way! Why would I do that?" He smirked at me and stood back up.

"Why for the town. The energy I can use from this will help our fine town strive for generations." I was disgusted by his speech. Of all times to be political he's choosing now?!

"No, like I give a damn about that! I couldn't do that to her!" That stupid grin just sat there, taunting me. I wanted nothing more to kill him right there, but I didn't have my katana.

"Not even if your sisters life was on the line?" I stared at the once great man I used to know. He's threatening to kill my sister? I gave in, and looked away in defeat. I'm going to hate myself for this but my sister is all I have left. She's my everything. "Good. Now, here's what you do."

Ashe's P.O.V.

"Psst, Ashe." I opened my eyes and noticed Illiana sitting in my window.

"Illiana? What are you doing here?" I got up and walked towards her.

"No time to explain. I know where Lexi is. I can help you get to her but I need you to come with me."

"We should get the others."

"No, we don't have time. They don't know I've escaped so we need to hurry." Her eyes looked hurt but I nodded and got dressed, following the dark haired girl into the night.

"Here it is, come on." We walked into a shack and stopped. She turned around and tears were falling down her cheeks. "I'm so sorry." Before I could question what was going on, I felt something hit my head and I fell to the floor. The last thing I saw before darkness overtook me was Illiana crying as I was slowly picked up.
