Two weeks later...
Adisa had Destiny blindfolded as he walked her outside to the dinner he had set up for her. He wanted to do something special for her since for the past weeks he wasn't home much due to away games. Destiny didn't even want to go along with his plans because Adisa was being secretive all week so she thought he was cheating or something.
"Adisa come on, take this shit off me now." Destiny said anxiously as he guided her outside to the table.
"You so impatient." He shook his head then stopped and stood behind her. "Ready?"
"Yes nigga." Adisa untied the blindfold and Destiny looked around at how he transformed her backyard. There were candles and roses along with a cute little picnic he set up. "Aww baby." She squealed. "What's all this?" She turned to him with the high smile on her face.
Adisa wrapped his hands around her waist and looked into her eyes. "Well we ain't seen each other in a minute so I wanted to make up for lost time so I cooked up a lil dinner for us and then later..." He trailed off licking his lips.
Destiny knew what he meant and laughed. "You nasty."
He bit his lip. "You love it." Destiny laughed then kissed him. "If you keep kissing me like that we might gotta skip dinner."
"Nope. I'm ready to taste this food you cooked." They walked over to the blanket he set out and sat down. Adisa fed her some of the coconut shrimp and Destiny closed her eyes as the flavor filled her mouth. "Mmm. That's so good." She said taking another bite.
Adisa and Destiny continued to enjoy their meal having a little conversation here and there. "I have one more surprise. Close your eyes."
"Adisa.."
"Come on." Destiny reluctantly closed her eyes. "Open."
When Destiny opened her eyes they widened in surprise as she looked at Adisa. "Babe w-"
"Destiny, from the moment I saw you I knew you were special. From that dorm party to seeing you walking around campus everyday I'd say 'damn she's beautiful.' You were the only one who wasn't there for the hype of college ballers, you actually cared about knowing me for me. You are one of the most loving, kind and caring women I know. You're strong and you are a great mother, the way you take care of Bella makes me can't wait for us to have our own. Destiny I loved you for a long time and I wished everyday you'd return that love to me and now you have. Baby, all I want is you, anything else could happen after but I want you by my side forever. Yeah I know it might be a bit fast and you going through the divorce now but.." He paused and held her hand holding up the ring. "Destiny Veronica Harris, will you marry me?"
Destiny looked at him surprised. No way was she expecting this. "Adisa I.. I um.." Her hesitation was making Adisa nervous. Then she smiled. "I will. Yes."
Adisa sighed in relief and slipped the ring on her finger then kissed her. "Damn I thought you was gonna say no."
"Nah." She laughed kissing him again. The kiss instantly got heated and soon enough both their clothes were stripped off.

*"Bitch! I'm jealous." TeMar said looking at the ring on her finger. Destiny told him about the night Adisa planned for her which he already knew since he helped plan it all.
Destiny laughed. "I really was not expecting this." She looked at the ring then sighed playing with it on her finger.
"What's that sigh? That sound like stressed sigh." TeMar looked at her with his eyebrow raised.
"I don't know T, maybe it's all too fast and how I know this not another Travis situation. I don't want to give my life to another man who's just going to walk out and do me dirty."
TeMar lapped his legs about to get real with her. "Look Destiny, I cant guarantee you that it won't be the same but Adisa don't rub me that way, he really seem like the type to commit and stay loyal. Plus you won't know what good is out there for you if you don't take big risks, he might be the one out there for you."
Destiny smiled getting up and hugged him. "Aww look at you getting all sentimental."
TeMar rolled his eyes and hugged her back. "Now Get off me bitch." He laughed. "And that's the first and last time you hear me say some shit like that."
"Yeah right." They sat back on the couch sipping on their wine having frivolous conversation with the tv playing softly in the background.
A few moments later Travis was on the news. When Destiny heard his name her attention quickly went to the tv. She saw something about a crash so she gave it volume.
'It has just been reported that basketball star Travis King was in an accident. His car was found turned over off the road and his body had to be cut from the vehicle. More details..."
Destiny zoned out as she heard the reporter. Her heart was racing with worry as she wondered about Travis. Was he alive?
"Damn Girl.." TeMar said breaking her thoughts.
Destiny got up from the couch. "I gotta go."
TeMar looked up at her confused. "Where you going?"
"To the hospital."
"For what? It might sound harsh but let his hoe worry about his ass." TeMar waved her off.
"No T. I'm still his wife and he's Bella's father." She got her keys. "I gotta go." She left and quick walked to her car hopping in the drivers seat. She sped to the hospital praying Travis was okay. Destiny parked her car and walked in to check with the nurse. "Hi I'm here in regards to Travis King, I'm his wife."
"Oh Mrs. King, your husband is being prepped for surgery." The nurse looked over her notes. "It says here you've already signed off on the procedure though."
Destiny shook her head confused. "What, no. I just got here. Who sig-"
"I signed the papers." Destiny looked around and saw Makayla. Destiny sighed in frustration as Makayla walked up to her.
