"Bitch I can't believe yo ass back with Travis after what he did. I mean have I not taught you anything?" TeMar looked at her like he was about to scold her.

"Don't look at me like that. It is what it is." Destiny shrugged as she sipped her juice. They met up for lunch so they could catch up.

"No boo, this ain't it. Travis ass shoulda been gone and forgotten. I'm tired of seeing his lanky ass walking around here like he for real a king." TeMar rolled his eyes as he took a bite of his sandwich. He really was pissed about Destiny going back to Travis, he didn't even speak to her for a week.

"Look T, sometimes things just don't go how we'd like. I stayed with Travis to help him through with his therapy and all that."

TeMar put his sandwich down and looked at her like 'bitch please.' "Destiny his ass rich enough to get home help or pay that raggedy ass hoe to do it." TeMar then put his hands up like he was done. "You know what though, imma stay outta yo business and let you do you." He went back to his meal.

"T don't be like that." Destiny whined But TeMar just shook his head not taking her on. "Fine." Destiny pouted and ate some of her fries.

"Anyhoo, Roger and I are having a little dinner party tomorrow. You can bring a date once it's not you know who." Roger was TeMar's new boo and they wanted their close friends over so they could meet.

"Come on T." Destiny gave him a look.

TeMar rolled his eyes. "Fine, you lucky I like yo ass."

"You love me."

"Whatever. But warning you, Adisa's gonna be there. His girlfriend or whatever she is somehow knows Roger so." He sipped his drink.

"Oh my god why?" Destiny whined. "I can't see him."

He smacked his lips. "Bitch, you gonna put on them big girl panties and face this man because you better be there or I'm coming for you."

Destiny rolled her eyes. "Fine."

Destiny told Travis about the dinner party and he reluctantly agreed. TeMar was not his favorite person. "Bae, why we can't stay home and do what we been doing all weekend?" He hugged her from behind kissing her neck.

Travis' therapy was working well so he was able to ditch the wheelchair. He still walked with a slight lip and was not quite ready to play yet as his feet weren't strong enough. He had maybe a year or so before he could again.

Destiny got out of his grip he had on her waist to go put on her dress. "No baby, I promised T I'd come." She smoothed down the dress and looked at herself in the mirror. Since Adisa was going to be there she needed to look good.

Travis watched as she looked at herself. He didn't quite like what she was wearing. "That what you wearing?" He said as he buttoned up his shirt.

"Yes. Something wrong with my dress?" Destiny turned to face him.

"Yeah. Maybe you should find something else to wear that don't make you look like a hoe." He said dryly without looking her way.

Destiny's eyes widened at what he said to her, she was surprised at him speaking to her like that. "Excuse me? You calling me a hoe right now?"

"Ain't nobody call you nothing, just change the dress." He turned to walk out.

"No." Destiny said sternly. "You ain't bout to tell me what I can't wear, you don't own me Tra-" Before she finished, Travis had her gripped up by her throat.

He stuck his finger in her face and spoke sternly. "Change the fucking dress." He released her neck and walked out. Destiny never saw this side of Travis and she didn't like it.

The drive to TeMar's house was silent as neither one of them decided to speak to the other. To be honest, Travis had scared Destiny tonight since she'd never seen that look he had in his eyes before. They got out and as they walked to the door, Travis rested his hand on her lower back.

TeMar greeted them at the door and took them to the table he set up outside for everyone. Adisa was the first person both Travis and Destiny saw and suddenly an awkward vibe filled the area.

Destiny and Travis sat across from Adisa and Kendra since those were the only available seats because Roger's other friends were sitting across from him and TeMar.

"Y'all better fix them smug faces in my house." TeMar said looking around the table. "Now let's eat." Everyone filled their plates with food not making eye contact. Adisa didn't care that Destiny was here with Travis, he was over the whole thing but Destiny wasn't.

The entire night she kept stealing glances over to him. She missed him and hated seeing him with Kendra. When everyone was inside mingling and engaging in random conversation, Adisa decided to sit by himself outside and have a drink. Destiny saw him and decided to go talk to him.

She sat next to him and Adisa got up about to walk away. Destiny stopped him and pulled him back. "Wait."

Adisa looked at her with no emotion in his eyes. He didn't want to be bothered. "What Destiny."

He sounded so cold that she almost told him to forget but she still spoke. "Are you going to ignore me all night?"

"Why the fuck not, you here with yo husband ain't you? You ain't need my attention." Adisa looked everywhere but her face.

Destiny stepped forward and held the side of his face turning it to her, she didn't move her hand. "Adisa don't treat me like this." His attitude was really cutting her deep. "Don't-"

"Yo Destiny!" Her eyes quickly shot up to see Travis standing by the door. Adisa moved away from her.

"Ya man wants you." Adisa scoffed and walked off. Destiny's eyes followed him until he reached Kendra and he kissed her. Destiny took a deep breath holding back the tears and walked to Travis.

As soon she got close enough he grabbed her up by her hand and squeezed it hard. "What the fuck you doing disrespecting me like that?"

"Travis you're hurting my arm." Destiny tried to pull away but Travis pulled her in closer angrily.

"We leaving. I don't wanna hear shit." Travis let her go and she stood there in shock. She looked around to see if anyone saw but everyone was caught up in conversation. But little did she know Adisa saw.

As she was about to follow Travis, Adisa stopped her. "Aye Destiny you good?"

"Uh Yeah, I'm Fine."

"You sure? I could take-"

"I said I'm fine Adisa." Destiny snapped and then walked away.

Adisa just watched as she left with Travis. He knew something was off but he wasn't gonna overstep especially if Destiny didn't want his help.

As Travis and Destiny walked through the door, Travis pushed her down to the ground just as they got in. He dragged her up and smacked her across the face sending her to the ground. The pain shot through her cheek and tears fell from her eyes.

Travis stooped down to her level on the floor as Destiny tried to get away from his hold. "Don't you ever disrespect me like that again! You gonna see that nigga and look the other way." He threw her hand down and went to his room. Travis got his 'medicine' and set it out on the bed, doing line after line.

Destiny just laid on the floor crying not believing the person Travis has become.
