Kyungsoo
"D.O!" I heard Luhan shout from behind me as I walked to homeroom. The suddenness of his voice caused me to turn around automatically. Smiling, he jogged up to my side as I slowed down my walking pace. "I texted you but you didn't reply," he said. I pulled out my phone, seeing the unread text notification on my phone.
"Oh, sorry. I must have had it on silent," I said. "I'm still getting used to this phone."
"It's okay. I can't expect anything else from Do Kyungsoo, our resident technology dumbie," he replied, a joking smile painted on his face. Rolling my eyes, I scoffed and grinned slightly in embarrassment. Chanyeol came up to us a few minutes later, looking rather moody.
"Thanks for waiting for me this morning, best friend," he said sarcastically. I couldn't help but laugh. He was like the happiest person I knew, so I always found it entertaining when he was mad.
"It's not my fault you take so long to get ready, you stupid giant," I said, hitting his shoulder gently. He tried to keep his offended expression plastered on, but failed in the end and cracked a smile.
"Well one of us has to look good and balance out all of this average-lookingness," he said as all three of us started walking again.
"Speak for yourself, asshole," Luhan said with a slight grin tugging at the corner of his mouth. I looked back at Chanyeol, who was now looking rather shocked as he smiled.
We arrived at our shared classroom and took our seats, Luhan at the desk to the left of me and Chanyeol at the one behind.
Once I had started taking my supplies out of my bag, the bell rang and our math teacher walked in, immediately starting to take attendance.
"Do Kyungsoo?" she announced.
"Here," I said, raising my hand. He gave me a quick smile and continued down the list.
"Park Chanyeol?"
"The one and only," Chanyeol said.
I turned around and looked at him judgingly, and he responded with a big smile. I just laughed and turned back around to face the board. Once she had gone through the whole roster, she told us that we could talk quietly among ourselves for a while until the morning announcements were over.
Chanyeol ripped a piece of paper out of his notebook and balled it up tightly. I watched and smiled as he aimed it at Luhan's head. He whipped it at him and then sank back in his seat and tried to seem innocent. Luhan turned around and gave him a look of death.
"What?" Chanyeol said. Eventually, he cracked a smile, turned to me and laughed out loud. I chuckled silently to myself as I shook my head.
My life, as I knew it, was pretty simple. It consisted of studying and hanging out with my friends when it came down to it. It may not have been the most exciting, but I preferred it this way honestly. I didn't like things that were too complicated. The less messy my life was, the better off I was.

I fought off another yawn as I sat in class and listened to the morning announcements, my arms folded across my chest and my eyelids still heavy with sleep. Sehun was sitting next to me, finishing up last night's history assignment as usual.
"So how's party planning been coming along Sehun?" Suho asked him, turning around in his seat in front of him.
"Alright I guess," Sehun replied, mumbling his answer but also sounding unsure.
"What do you mean by that?" Chen asked with his legs propped up on the table. "Dude, this is supposed to be the party of the year. I want to include this party in my valedictorian speech."
"Bold of you to assume you'll be valedictorian," Suho said with a scoff and a laugh.
"I would confidently be able to if you tried a less, douchebag," Chen replied. "I'm so sick of coming second to you. Can't you just let me win once?"
"That sounds like a you problem, not a me problem. Maybe you're the one who needs to try harder." Chen rolled his eyes, pretending to throw his pencil at him.
"You think I don't know that?" Sehun said suddenly, changing the subject back to the party. He handed Chen's homework back to him and exhaled. "It's not easy when everyone's like 'I hope it will be as awesome as Sanghyun's parties.' It's hard to live up to your brother's greatness." We all laughed a little at his pouting. Sanghyun graduated last year and was literally the most popular kid in school. So needless to say, Sehun had a lot of pressure on him to be like that too.
"Don't sweat it too much," Xiumin said from beside him, trying to comfort him. "I'm sure it will be a great time whether or not it goes down in history." He gave Chen one of those warning looks. I smiled to myself, finally giving into the yawn.
"You are going, aren't you Kai?" Sehun asked me.
"Yeah. I wouldn't miss it for the world," I replied. He let out a relieved sigh.
"Good. Because if you didn't then my party would really suck," he replied. I laughed and reached over to ruffle his blonde locks, causing him to crack a smile.
Sehun was like a little brother to me. We were only a few months apart, but still. Baekhyun walked in, looking out of breath a few minutes later and handed the teacher his pass.
"Why are you so late?" I asked, giving up on reading and closing my book.
"Probably sucking face with Chanyeol in the bathroom," Suho said, receiving a death glare from him.
"Would you shut up?" Baekhyun said, his eyes slightly narrowed. We all chuckled. "I thought I told you that we aren't a couple."
"Not yet," Xiumin added in.
"Please. It'll never happen," he said as he took his seat in front of ours. "He doesn't even know I exist." I watched him and sighed a little.
I hated how Baekhyun beat himself up so much. Ever since his last girlfriend, Taeyeon, dumped him because he told her he liked guys, he had just been his own bully. I felt kind of bad for him.
Another five minutes or so passed by and then our teacher began class. I sat up straighter and attempted to pay as much attention as I could with the very small amount of sleep I was running on.
Despite being one of the more popular kids in school, my life wasn't more interesting because a lot of people knew me. Most days, actually, I would just stay in my room and play video games whenever I wasn't with my friends. Of course, my parents wanted me to be more involved in clubs and church-related extracurriculars, but I just didn't care for all that. I preferred things to be dull and simple.
A/N
I'm finally starting to tackle the bigger beasts...some of my first fanfics lol. I literally cringe when I think about them sometimes, so this will not be an easy editing process, but I'm going to brave through it for you guys because I want you to have somewhat quality stories to read lol.
This story actually has more chapters than I thought it did, so it'll take me some time to get through it. But feel free to stop by and check my progress. I'll probably do like 5 chapters or so a day if I can.
Anyway, thanks for the continued support! xoxoxoxo
