Kyungsoo
The light of the next morning acted as my alarm clock. I stretched out the cramps in my arms after sitting up from my initial laying position. My eyes caught a glimpse of a still and sleeping Kai next to me. I couldn't control my smile as I just continued to watch him. The clock read 9:55 a.m. when I looked at it, so after him giving him five more minutes, I decided to wake him up.
"Kai," I said softly as I began to poke his cheek. "Kai, wake up." I kept poking at him with no response from him. I pouted a little as a frustrated sigh left my lips. "Wake up, jerk. It's ten o'clock." He moved his head and groaned sleepily. "I know you can hear me," I said, not finding his games to be amusing.
"Can I?" he said after allowing another groan to escape from his mouth. He still restrained from opening his eyes, which I figured he was doing on purpose. In one final attempt to wake him up, I leaned back down and kissed him. I felt his arms wrap around me as he kissed me back.
"You're such an ass," I said, pulling away and hitting his chest. "I knew you could hear me." He laughed and finally opened his eyes.
"You should have taken the hint that I didn't want to get up yet," he said, yawning and stretching his arms and legs out. "Five more minutes would have been nice."
"I did give you five more minutes," I argued, watching him as he sat up. "You just didn't know I gave you five more minutes." He looked at me through narrowed, unimpressed eyes, and I just laughed. "We should get up now anyway. I'm getting hungry and I'm more annoying when I'm hungry than you are in the morning."
He scoffed and rolled his eyes, trying to contain his grin but failing. "Yeah, fine, whatever," he said, shoving me a little. I chuckled and swung my legs around in order to put my feet on the ground and slide off the bed. We decided to go out for breakfast while we were brushing our teeth, so we got dressed after we finished in the bathroom. became slightly confused when we went downstairs and saw Kai grab a set of keys off the hook by the front door.
"Do I even want to know whose care we're stealing?" I asked, shutting my eyes for a moment.
"Don't worry, it's just my mom's old car." He laughed. "She works from home most of the time, so she doesn't really drive it anyway. It'll be good to get it out for a little bit. I'll be doing her a favor."
"I don't think she would see it that way," I said, still following him outside to the car.
"Well, good thing she'll never have to find out then, huh?" Kai glanced back at me and smiled and I couldn't help but smile back.
So, I trusted him and we walked down their small driveway to the car parked on the side of the street. I stopped by the passenger's side door and had just wrapped my hand around the handle when he came up to me, putting an arm around my waist and pulling me in for a short kiss.
"You really want us to get caught, don't you?" I said after he pulled back, a smile still sitting on my lips.
"No, I just wanted to kiss you," he said innocently. "I figure as long as I don't have to constantly look over my shoulder, I am going to take full advantage of every opportunity I have to kiss you."
I couldn't really argue with that, knowing that after the weekend ended, I would inevitably have to go back to just being "his friend from school." That's why I let him kiss me again and even kissed him back. He then walked around to the driver's side, unlocked the doors, and we both got inside before driving off.
Kai
My parents were due to come back from the retreat late Sunday night, so after dinner, I drove Kyungsoo home. Not that I wanted him to leave at all, but I really didn't want the possibility of my parents coming home early to ruin the great weekend we had together.
But when I got back home and saw my dad's car in the driveway, my heart nearly stopped. I stopped in the middle of the road and stared at his car before slowly shutting my eyes. I really hoped this was just some dream or at the very least, that the most I would get scolded for is driving my mom's car without them knowing.
I pulled up along the curb, returning the car to its original spot, and then carefully got out, feeling my heart beating more rapidly the closer I got to the front door. There was no sign of my parents when I first slipped my shoes off and stepped inside, but the moment I entered the living room and saw them both sitting down without the TV on, I knew I was in it for it.
"Hey..." I said slowly. They were looking at me now. "L-Listen...about the car--"
"This isn't about the car, Jongin, though I'm not thrilled about that either," my mom said, cutting me off and turning to face me.
"W-What's going on then?" I tried to act confused, hoping they would just let me off the hook. Or maybe I was still trying to convince myself that was what about to happen wasn't about to happen.
"When we left you alone for one weekend, I thought everything would be okay. I trusted you to not lie about where you would be and not break any of the rules you supposedly know by heart. So, imagine my surprise when I get a call from Mrs. Oh, not only saying that you were never at her house but that when she was on her way to see if you were here, she saw you and some boy kissing."
I closed my eyes and I let go of a heavy sigh, lowering my head a little. Fuck.
"Mom, I can--"
"I don't want to hear another word from your mouth, Jongin," she said sternly, an intense and scary look in her eyes. "It's late and we're tired, so we'll finish this talk in the morning." She then stood up and walked right past me, heading upstairs. I didn't look at my dad. I didn't want to. He got up not long after and followed her, leaving me alone in the living room.
This definitely wasn't a dream. It was my worst nightmare.

Decided to change how they got caught because I felt this made more sense with the changes I had already made.
