I don't know how long I sobbed on the forest floor, but the sun was definitely starting to set before I struggled to my feet. As the light slipped away, an odd sense of calm began to wash over me.

It was surreal, to say the least. I left the tears to dry on my cheeks as I looked around the dense wooded area I stumbled into.Shadows began to slink towards me, but I felt no fear.

My vision went a bit blurry, and my chest felt light. I giggled and looked down at my hands. My eyes went wide when I realized they were slightly translucent.

"Woah." I said, giggling again. Suddenly, a blinding light flashed on above me. It was like someone flipped the switch to a light I was looking directly into. I flinched but quickly looked up to find the source of the light.

Moments later, I was floating. I gasped as I started to follow the truck of the trees around me; into the brilliant light above. I grinned and felt a euphoric glee fill my body, until I felt nothing but pure joy.

After I slowly floated up about six feet, somthing extremely hot clamped onto my ankle. The head shot up my leg and spread throughmy body, until I felt like I was on fire. The joy was now replaced by full on panic. I tried to kick out against whatever was holding me, but connected with nothing.

I felt a swift jerk on my leg, which brought me crashing down to the cold, hard ground once again. I cried out as I thrashed against the vice grip on my ankle, but still couldn't manage to free myself.

My heartbeat sped up as I noticed the light beginning to fade.

"No." I breathed.

"No! No wait, come back!" I screamed, but the light faded more and more until I was back in the quickly waning twilight.

"My God will you please stop screaming?" An angry voice snapped. My head whipped to my left and my eyes settled on a set of legs, clad in dark blue Jean's. My eyes slowly scanned up the body.

The top of the Jean's disappeared underneath of a dark green shirt. The person's arms were crossed over their broad chest, and atop the widest shoulders I had ever seen, was the head and devilishly handsom face of a man.

His eyes were the brightest green I had ever seen on a human before. They had to be fake. No one naturally had thoes eyes. His hair was short, black, and spiked straight up. He had to have used hair gel. His brows were furrowed as he glared at me in disgust.

"Who are you?" I asked. He sighed and said "I guess you wont come quietly unless I tell you. They never do. I'm Ryan, and you're Rosalie Harrington. You're coming with me."

His know-it-all tone had me instantly annoyed. I scrambled to my feet and spat "I'm not going anywhere with you." He chuckled. It was a low, deep sound that rumbled menacingly in his chest. I swallowed hard.

"Actually, Cupcake, you are. Ya see you have two options. You could, A. Come with me and find out what is going on, or you could go with option B, which is to sit out here for the rest of eternity until your soul deteriorates and you go mad."

I blinked. Did he really have answers? He could see me, and he could talk to me so maybe he was telling the truth... but why? Why did he rip me from the air like that? I could only assume I was headed to Heaven, but now I'm stuck talking to this annoying, albeit attractive, meat-head back on Earth.

"Why did you pull me back down?" I asked. Ryan rolled his eyes and took two long steps towards me. He struck out with lightning speed and grabbed my wrist. I hissed in pain as that same burning sensation snaked it's way up my arm.

"Did I say you'd get to ask questions out here? Spoiler alert, no. I didn't. So shut up and close your eyes. You'll get answeres soon enough."

"Close my eyes? But wh-" My question was cut off by the sickening sound of earth cracking apart. I looked down just as a hole opened up below us. We hung for less than a second before we plummeted down into the darkness at a speed that didn't feel natural

My stomach dropped as we fell, and a blood curdling scream escaped my lungs. After about two seconds, we hit solid ground. I crumpled to the ground, dispite Ryan's grip on my wrist.

As I lay in a heap on the floor, gasping for breath, Ryan asked "What part of 'close your eyes' did you not understand?" He took a step over me and started to walk away. I lifted my head and saw that we were at the end of a long hallway. The walls were a concrete grey, and lined with torches that crackled and flickered as Ryan blew past them.

The floor was also concrete, as was the ceiling, however the floor was lined in a long, blood red carpet almost as wide as the entire hall. I struggled to my feet and took off at a run after Ryan.

"Wait! You promised me answers. Where are we and what the hell am I doing here?"

"Good choice of words." Ryan said over his shoulder with a laugh. He stopped at the end of the hall, and turned to face me. He towered over me, with at least a foot of space between my eyes and his.

He smirked, and stretched his arms out to either side.

"Welcome to Hell, Cupcake.
