Y/d/n has been have nightmares for about a month and she is always sleeping with Tom and I. And it's kinda hard. Don't get me wrong, I love y/d/n to death but Tom and I want to do some things that y/d/n shouldn't know about. Tom feels the same way. But we always help y/d/n fall back asleep, because you never want to get stuck with a grumpy 6 year-old.

3:48 am

"AHHH!!" Y/d/n screams and Tom and I go to her bedroom and see y/d/n clutching her teddy bear. Tom picks her up and puts her on his bare chest, bouncing her up and down trying to calm her down. We set y/d/n back down on her bed and Tom and I sit down as well. Y/d/n darling what's going on in your dream that cause you to have nightmares. "W-well there's this monster t-that's p-purple and he has this metal g-glove with l-little g-gems on them he snapped his fingers-s and you and m-mommy-y weren't here with m-me." Y/d/n said as Tom wipes the tears off y/d/n's face.

"Aww sorry love we didn't know." Tom says to y/d/n and continues, " Mommy and I will never leave you." Tom says kissing y/d/n cheeks. "Do you want to sleep with daddy and I tonight?" You ask your daughter. "No mommy I'm a big girl and big girls sleep by themselves." She says very proud. "Ok darling see you in the morning." My husband tells y/d/n while kissing her cheek again. As he grabs my hand and we walk back into our shared bedroom. We get under the covers as he wraps his arm around me. "You know it's our first night with no nightmares how about we....." I shut Tom up with a kiss. "Tomorrow baby she'll be in daycare and we both have the day off, night baby." I say as I fall asleep.
