// Mother's Day poem

Life is hard
Everyday
A torturing battle
A battle that gets harder

With a mother's love
It makes it easier
A mother's love
Is all a daughter need

Life is dark
A dark tunnel
But a mother's love
Radiates like a bright white light

I am safe in your arms
The scary things
Are gone whenever
I am in your arms

I know I act strong
Hugging you even less
Then the kisses on your cheek
But I do love you

I don't show it well
Acting out like
The moody teenager
That I am

It gets harder
For me to hold on
To anything
Especially your love

The blade that is pointing at me
Is stopped by your love
You are my shield
And I love you deeply

I will always love you
I wish I was a good daughter
But good is getting harder
And I will always love you
