What happens when the superstar meets the coldest, most arrogant bodyguard in the country?
What will happen when the best in his field ends up babysitting a Popstar?
Will they be compatible or will they get on each others nerves...
Matteo's car goes fast through the heavy late afternoon traffic. The thunder- laden clouds matching his mood of expectation and anticipation.
She was there, in his condominium unit, putting into practice his crazy idea.
He knew this because he had already received a phone call from the receptionist of the building.
Asking if he knew that a woman had arrived bearing enough paint to cover the front of Malacanang Palace?
He had let a woman onto his territory. Not just any woman, either, but the Popstar Royalty of the Philippines, the woman he care for.
For the first time in his life, he had allowed emotion to blind him to sense.
What is more, he had no one to blame but himself. Maybe that was a classic case of denial, of not wanting to admit what he found hard to admit to himself.
He was early this morning at his office in order to be out of the way when she arrived. He has not felt quite ready to lay on the red carpet treatment for her himself.
He walked into the kitchen to be greeted by the sight of a cheeky bottom leaning over the table scanning some interior design books and magazines.
"Hello," Matteo said softly.
Sarah stopped what she was doing, and turned around.
Matteo stood there, both hands hooked into a loop on his jeans. His posture both watchful and territorial, like a cowboy.
"Good afternoon, Matteo," she said brightly. "Sinubukan ko ang ilan sa mga pintura sa dingding ng iyong living room. Gusto mong makita ang mga ito?"
Paint splattered baggy denim dungarees were proving far more appealing on Sarah.
"I guess so," he said, and began to walk towards his sitting room.
Sarah had been busy preparing the room before she started painting, though not as busy as she might have expected.
Most houses had some degree of clutter and personal effects, but Matteo had precisely none. No photos. No ornaments. No pictures on the walls.
There was not even a dying pot plant as so often seen inside every house. Nothing. A practical room for a practical man.
Matteo was standing in the middle of the room. Staring in disbelief at the wall next to the window that had a splodge of color on it, a bright, vibrant red.

He turned around, seeing her dark eyes widened in expectation, like a little girl who spent all night making a gift for the teacher.
"Is this some kind of joke?" he questioned, in a strangled kind of voice.
"Hindi mo gusto ang pula?"
"I don't like sitting in a room which looks like someone has been throwing ketchup at the walls."
"Hindi pa tapos ito," she said helpfully.
"I may not be Vincent Van Gogh, Sarah, but I'd kind of worked that out for myself. It's not the lack of application I'm objecting to.....it's the color!"
"Anong mali sa pula? Ang langit sa labas ay kulay asul. Given your dual nationality, I thought it would remind of images of both the American and Philippine flags!"
He looked at her. "Are you trying to be funny?"
"Hindi." She shook her head. "Honestly, Matteo.....I think it will look stunning. You did tell me na malaya akong gawin ang lahat ng gusto ko!"
"Iyon ay dahil akala ko na pipinturahan mo lang ng parehong kulay para lumiwanag."
"At ano? Kulayan ito ng cream? Kahit na nahirapan akong malaman kung ano ang kulay na nakapatung sa ilalim ng dumi. Na kailangan kong kuskusin bago ako makapagsimula." She gave an exaggerated shudder. "Living rooms should be a place for relaxation. You won't get much if you are sitting surrounded by a color.....which looks.....like the inside of a milk bottle. Trust me. It will look fine by the time I've finished."
There was silence for a moment.
If he wanted relaxation, he was not going to start looking for it in his sitting room.
How come they sounded like a pair of newly weds sparring over the decor for their first home?
"And if it doesn't?"
She heard the dangerous note in his voice. "Then I'll paint it back exactly the color it was."
She saw the dangerous look in his eyes. He really could be a big, bad wolf.
