The doctor and two nurses arrived at the dorm. They immediately checked Taehyung's vital signs and took a small amount of blood to test which will be sent immediately to the hospital's laboratory.

Mr. Bang is currently overseas, leaving only Jimin to care for Taehyung. He decided not to tell the members first as he does not wish to interrupt their vacation and he is optimistic that Taehyung will be okay soon enough although honestly, the longer that the younger is unconscious, the more hopeless he becomes.

"His temperature is at 40 degree celsius and I can also smell that he had a few drinks which worsen his condition. By the looks of him, I can tell that he is dehydrated so I will be putting an IV dextrose. The lab test shall take no longer than 2 hours but we will have it expedited so we can expect to hear a call within 30 minutes. Once we know the result, that's when I'll be able to diagnose him completely. For now, I'll be injecting intravenous paracetamol since he is not conscious yet and oral medication isn't possible." The doctor explained.

"Do you think he will be okay, Doc? I mean, I don't want to be pessimistic but this is my first time seeing Taehyung like that and... and... "

Jimin was interrupted by the doctor to calm him down.

"I do not see any rashes as a sign of Dengue or Malaria, so that should be a relief. I'm thinking, this is a combination of dehydration, flu, and fatigue but it's best to still wait for the blood test."

Jimin nodded feeling a slight relief from what the doctor informed him.

A few minutes more, the IV dextrose and paracetamol have been injected. Jimin held Taehyung's left hand all through the process, not letting go although he knows that the other is not feeling anything.

"Taehyungie. . . Feel better soon." Jimin kissed Taehyung's hand, not really caring about the eyes looking at him or the fact that they have broken up.

The doctor's phone rang and Jimin can only assume that it was someone from the lab.

"Is that so? Okay. I'll tell him, thank you." The call was quick and the doctor is now approaching Jimin.

"So, we now have the result. His blood is clear, no infection of any sort. However, this only means that his immune system has taken its toll and my first assessment was correct. If he has been stressed lately, try to convince your manager to give him more time to recuperate and just have him stay away from things that will physically and emotionally drain him." the doctor elaborated.

Jimin can only nod in response. He was a little guilty on the part of "emotionally draining" because he is aware that a huge chunk of it is from their break-up.

"Well then, I know celebrities value their privacy so, if you need us to leave, we can definitely do so. You just have to empty the dextrose and he'll be okay. We don't really need to do anything major right now. If he is still not awake after 6 hours, the nurse will be here to inject another dosage of paracetamol. If he wakes up then you can just have him take the oral medicine." The doctor stated.

"Thank you. I will contact you if I need assistance. I appreciate your help, doc." Jimin muttered, grateful that Taehyung's condition is not worse than what his pessimistic brain had imagined.

Jimin is now left on his own with Taehyung sleeping on the bed. He can finally breathe peacefully knowing that the latter will be okay soon although he doesn't know when. He pulled a chair to sit on his side and started playing with Taehyung's hair just like how the younger wanted every time he is not feeling well.

"Taetae. .. I'm sorry for hurting you. I have been blinded and horrible, I-I-I just want you to wake up, please. I will apologize every day until you forgive me." Jimin sobbed. There's no way that he can control the unbearable sadness anymore. He was doing good in pretending this past few weeks, but seeing how it affected his ex-boyfriend, his best friend since highschool made him feel like an absolute trash.

He kissed Taehyung's forehead, nose and placed a soft peck on his lips as if it could erase the bad things that had happened. Eventually, exhaustion took over and he fell asleep sitting, still holding Taehyung's hand.

Five hours have passed and Taehyung is still unconscious. The nurse came back to inject another dosage of medicine and left as soon as she's done.

Jimin decided to go to the kitchen to prepare Galbitang (beef short rib soup) for Taehyung. He wanted to feed him a home cooked meal when he wakes up so the other can recover fast.

When everything is set, he comes back to the room and is disheartened to see that Taehyung is still lethargic. It's been roughly twelve hours and still no sign of recovery.

"Taetae. . . Your back will hurt if you don't wake up soon. . . Taehyungie. . . I'm sorry." Jimin sat beside Taehyung again slowly drifting back to sleep involuntarily.

"Jimin? Ouch. My head. Wait? Why do I have a dextrose? Ouch."

Taehyung finally woke up to a throbbing headache. He has no idea what happened and why Jimin is in his room. He felt very thirsty so he stood up carefully to avoid waking Jimin to drink water and brush his teeth out of a habit.

"Goodness. I look like shit and I feel like shit. Everything is shitty." Taehyung complained in front of the bathroom mirror, still disoriented. He headed over to the waterless bathtub to lie down because his back was hurting from laying in bed for too long. He just wanted to feel a hard surface to stretch his body initially but dozed off without his knowledge.

Jimin is suddenly awakened, his hands feeling cold and his senses suddenly alerted when he sees that the bed is empty.

"Tae? Taehyung? Where are you? Tae?!"

Panic is starting to consume him. He ran downstairs absentmindedly and found no one. He ran back upstairs to check all the room which is also clear. He doesn't know what else to do and where else to look. Did Taehyung leave as soon as he woke up? He must have hated Jimin that much. God, what did he do to him. He returned to Taehyung's room, disheartened and sobbing.

"Tae? Taetae? My Taetae."
