** Tomura Shigaraki's POV **

The League of Villains is weak. We suffered a massive setback the day that All Might retired. But I am not mad. No, I am not mad. If anything maybe I am grateful.

For although we are weak in power, we grow stronger in mind. Ever since the capture of my master I have learned patience and caution.

I have gained a better understanding of which moves are worth making and which are not. It has given me time to think and strategize. It has given me time to contemplate our next move.

It was in this time given to me that I realized a truth. Although I didn't (and still don't) like it, I know better than to argue against it.

When we attacked the UA training camp we had our eyes trained on Bakugou. But now I realize we had the wrong target.

Izuku Midoriya, the brat, is more useful to us alive. Right now the league of villains needs more strength. The kind of strength that he can provide; and unlike with Bakugou I now know the proper methods to enlist him.

"Kurogiri! Where are you?" I shouted into the open air of the warehouse we were using as our current hideout.

My servant didn't take long. In mere moments I saw him making his way towards me in the gloom.

"What is it Tomura?" he inquired, curious as to why he had been summoned. I smiled and without looking up I said,

"I've decided our next course of action, and the first step involves you. I need you to find us someone that would be interested in joining the league. But, I need them to have a specific kind of quirk in mind."

Kurogiri didn't take long in replying,

"What kind of quirk are you looking for?" I looked up at him and replied:

"I need someone that can manipulate memories."

Kurogiri was taken aback by this.

"Memory manipulation? Tomura surely you must know how rare a quirk that powerful must be?!?"

"Which is precisely why we need someone like that right now." I shot back.

"Don't question me Kurogiri just find me who I'm looking for." "Yes, sir." He replied without further argument, and with that, he disappeared into one of his vortexes in search of our next member.

Kurogiri returned a few hours later with the news that he had located approximately 3 people with a quirk like that in Japan. However, two of them had serious drawbacks to theirs that wouldn't allow them to carry out the task I had in mind.

So I settled for the third. Yuuto Takahashi. His quirk was called Memory Sear. It basically allowed him to burn new memories onto already existing ones.

However, like all quirks, it has limits. They were just different limits than the other two options.

The limits to his quirk were as follows. He had to be no more than two feet away from his target when trying to use it and it wouldn't work if they got out of rage before he finished.

He also couldn't do any significant changes if his target was stable and put up a fight.

Also, although his quirk allowed him to burn new memories into a person's head, the old ones would still exist. This would have a minimal effect on the new ones, however, this took me to the biggest issue with his quirk.

If his target were to experience an intense emotional conflict, the power of their roiling emotions would wipe away the new memories. And of course, using his quirk would tire him out the more he used it.

After carefully considering the limits of his power and what we could gain from him I decided to accept him. His quirk wasn't perfect but then again none are.

"Kurogiri," I announced, "why don't you bring us our latest member?"

A few minutes later I was introduced to Takahashi.

He was a man that appeared to be his early twenties it seemed. He was tall with short cut black hair. He was wearing jeans and a long-sleeved black t-shirt.

As odd as his appearance was, the thing that caught my attention the most were his eyes. At first, I thought they were purple but then they seemed blue and then more green before I realized his eyes were changing color on the spot.

They shifted from color to color like a kaleidoscope.

It caught me off guard but I managed to recover quick enough as not to make it noticeable.

"So this is The League of Villains huh?" he asked in a detached voice

"Yes," I answered him "and I have a proposition for you"
