**Ochako's POV**

It's been so long since I've seen Deku at this point.

The connection between me and him is unstable, to say the least.

I can't seem to control when we enter that state we share, it just seems to happen sometimes. I just don't feel like it's enough.

I found myself thinking about the last time it happened. I was completely shocked to see what he had shown me.

If he was playing it like that it probably meant that felt like a memory to him. I felt really bad for him after seeing that.

A defenseless little boy forced to try and save his parents.

But I knew that those memories couldn't be real. They had to have been done by the league.

Changing the subject slightly; I felt I had gotten through to him a little bit that time. I knew he was confused.

That was good, it meant he wasn't just disregarding everything I showed him as some kind of lie or trick.

It meant he was beginning to question things and wasn't sure what to think. I knew I could get through to him all the way if I had just a couple more opportunities.

I was trying to be hopeful here, I just wanted him back.

All these thoughts were flowing through my head as I was absent-mindedly making my way towards the dorms late in the evening.

I wasn't really paying attention to much, wrapped up as I was with my thoughts. But I snapped out of it when the school intercom turned on. It was Mr. Aizawa on the speaker,

"Attention class 1A, you are all being requested to come to the school's front grounds office. Preferably with your costumes. Time is of the essence."

"What? That's odd, I wonder why they want our class to come in."

I would find out the answer soon enough.

I quickly donned my hero gear and made my way to the meeting point.

As I arrived I found that most of the class had arrived before me. Those that we're here were having idle discussions and overall looked very confused. Who could blame them? I was too.

I noticed Mr. Aizawa standing off to one side of the class and went over to him,

"Mr. Aizawa, what's all this about?"

"Just be patient. We'll tell you why you're here as soon as the rest of the class shows up."

I nodded and rejoined the group to wait for the rest of the class. I didn't have to wait long.

As soon as the rest of us showed up, Mr. Aizawa called for everyone's attention.

"I'm sure, you're all wondering why we asked you to come here. Especially at this time and in your hero gear. Well, the reason for that is as follows. As you probably recall, we've been trying to track down Midoriya since his incident with the villains and his more recent change of sides."

"Don't tell me you found him!" I shouted out reflexively before I could stop myself.

"Yes, we did. But what worries us is the fact that he let us find him."

Everyone began murmuring amongst themselves as he said that. Suddenly a hand shot up out of the crowd.

"Yes, Iida?"

"Sir, what do you mean when you say he let you find him?" Instead of answering Mr. Aizawa held up a hologram projector.

As it turned on the image we saw before us was of a building in flames.

"This is what's going on right now, and inside that building, as we've already seen is Midoriya. Currently, we have several pros trying to defuse the situation, but we believe that you may be our best shot. As his peers and classmates, you probably have the highest chance of getting through to him while being able to defend yourselves at the same time."

"Those of you that don't want to go are welcome to go back to their dorms but know that you did nothing when your classmate needed you. That is all. If you're planning on going you need to go now."

Sometime later, I found myself confronted with burning building surrounded by the rest of my classmates.

Everyone had come for this, everyone that could at least.

Several pros were here as well, including Backdraft, Mr. Aizawa and several other teachers.

"You students need to pick 3 or 4 of you to enter the building and search for Midoriya." Began Mr. Aizawa.

"The rest of you need to split up into 3 teams: one to help put out the building, one to protect people from falling debris, and one to evacuate civilians. Decide quickly!"

We hastily agreed that the best group to enter the building would be me, Iida, and Todoroki. The rest of the class would decide which groups to go into without the three of us.

As the three of us entered the building, neither of us knew what was waiting for us.
