Harry's POV

Time sure flies fast as Harry was preparing himself to fight a bloody dragon which was the first competition on the Triwizard Tournament. He didn't know why the Goblet choose him even if he didn't put his name on it, this caused another argument between him and Ron. So for days they ignored each other like they were never friends in the first place. A warm hand was placed on his shoulder as a soothing voice lingered on his ear. (The contestants has separates tents by the way if that confuses you.)

"You don't have to do this you know." Draco whispered softly but loud enough for Harry to hear as the said boy faced him, he gave Draco a reassuring smile and spoke. "It's not my choice either Draco, you know I tried to back out but I can't." Harry answered frowning slightly making the blonde even more worried. So without thinking Draco engulfed Harry in a warm hug. The raven haired was surprised by the blonde's move but quickly relaxed in Draco's embrace. He pulled the petite boy's slim waist making their bodies closer. Draco can literally hear his speeding heart and the thought of Harry hearing it made him flustered.

Feeling Draco tense Harry's other hand made its way to the petite boy's back stroking it lightly making Draco calm down. Then all of a sudden the tent's entrance opened, the camera's flash made the two boy's jump back out of instinct but was already too late. Fear clouded Draco's eyes and he quickly left the room leaving a very annoyed Harry trying not to murder a smirking Rita Skeeter.

Defeating a giant snake was more better than being chased by a bloody dragon, Harry thought as he speed up avoiding fireballs that almost roasted him. He flew faster swiftly avoiding the attacks of the beast as he finally caught the golden egg, cheers erupted from the stadium and Harry caught his breath while looking for a particular blonde hair in the crowd. He smiled when he saw Draco besides Pansy and Blaise. Emerald collided with Silver as their eyes met, Draco's breath hitched but averted his eyes from the boy. Harry frowned, is he still angry about the hug? The thought invaded his mind as he was taken to the clinic by Madam Pomfrey.

Draco's POV

Draco was worried sick for Harry after the first task, he felt like he was going to faint seeing the one he love in a brink of death. He groaned loudly earning a worried stare from Blaise.

"You okay mate?" Blaise asked, "Yeah just tired." He faked yawn as the dark haired patted his back then leaving the room making Draco alone. After the incident with Rita Skeeter he avoided the raven haired again like a coward that he is. Don't blame him though, Draco just not want to cause Harry more troubles than he already has. He was already guilty for tormenting the golden boy for the last three years and he didn't want that to repeat again.

The next day Draco feels that something bad was going to happen and he didn't really like the thought of that. He sat in his usual seat between Blaise and Pansy and started eating breakfast. A screech interrupted him from shoving down another sausage in his mouth as the owls delivering the daily newspaper and also mails arrived. He picked the newspaper that was dropped in front of him while sipping some pumpkin juice. His eyes widened as he choked on the liquid that he was drinking when he read the headline of the Daily Prophet.

The Chosen One Caught Red Handed With Draco Malfoy

The tittle says as a moving picture of him and Harry hugging was displayed on the front page. He panicked and dropped what he was reading finding a pair of emerald eyes on the Gryffindor table, their eyes met as Harry stared at Draco panicking as well. The whispers from the hall turned into loud murmurs, Draco felt everyone staring at him disgustingly as his anxiety grows. He didn't even know that a tear slipped on his cheeks as he hung his head shamefully, he bit his lips preventing sobs that wanted to leave his mouth as it bleed. He ruined everything again, if he just prevented himself from going to the raven haired then none of these should've happened. If he just continued to be Harry's enemy and didn't confessed then everything would be normal. Not just that if his father knew about Draco's personality he would clearly disown him, Draco didn't want that he spend his entire life looking up to his father and doing everything to make him proud. But because of a boy all that he worked for was ruined!! But deep inside him he knew that it was all his fault, he was the one who fell inlove with Harry in the first place so he was the one to blame. Draco felt his self control crumbles down as he sobs on Fonce's chest as Pansy and Blaise tried to calm him down  dragging the poor boy away from the stares of everyone.

Harry's POV

Harry shot up from his seat following Draco and his friends, he was about to catch up but was stopped by someone who tugged his robe. Harry turned around to see who interrupted him. "Don't worry too much about him I know that you're worried but before you can go to him I need to speak with you first." A calming voice echoed through the empty corridor, Harry recognize the girl that he bumped into, the one who's eyes was changing colors. "Alright you can just say it here the." Harry replied trying to control himself from rushing into Draco's aid and hugging him until he was okay. "I'm Avery Stichen by the way, I just wanted to tell you that no matter what happens don't ever leave Draco's side. You are the one who will save him from going into the darkness that is inside him. He was raised with high expectations perched on him so this incident is starting to crumble his very being. Although he is full of confidence outside Draco is just hiding his true self from everyone. From his family, from his friends, from you... And from himself. So before you go to him make sure that you feel the same way as he did, before you make him think the other way. You don't want to hurt him do you Harry?" The said boy nodded slowly absorbing Avery's words. "Don't just jump  to the prey without thinking , I know you Gryffindors are well known for that but don't forget that Draco's a Slytherin, so you have to take small steps before you pounce on him. After all his mission is to protect you but I guess its the other way around."

"What do you mean by I'm his mission?" Harry asked confused about the girl's choice of words. Its just like he was solving a riddle talking to her. "If you want to know you can ask him yourself, thank you for your time Harry I must go now." The girl answered leaving Harry with his thoughts.

"Maybe I can ask him later," He muttered as he walked to where he guess Draco's friends could've taken him. The Slytherin dorm rooms...
