Chapter 20 (Sorrows and Heartbreaks)

Draco's POV

Its the last competition for the Tri Wizard Tournament and Draco was worried sick for Harry. Fonce was also acting a little weird giving strange warnings to Draco that something bad would happen. This worsened Draco's mood as he nervously stood up outside the hedge maze and hugged Harry tighter even kissing him then reluctantly let go of the raven haired's hand.

"Don't worry Dray he'll be fine." Pansy assured standing besides Draco,

"I don't know Pansy I just have this feeling that something bad would happen."

"You trust him don't you?" Draco nodded, "Then he'll be fine Dray he's the chosen one after all." Draco chuckled and slightly calmed down.

It's been 30 minutes since Harry went on the maze and in that time Fleur was taken out of the maze unconscious. This made Draco even more worried even though his friends tried to calm him down it didn't work at all. He just wanted Harry to be safe and not competing in a very dangerous tournament that he was forced into.

A red flare snapped Draco's attention as Victor Krum was taken out of the maze. Cedric Diggory and Harry were the only one left and he prayed that even though Harry would lose he would be come back in his arms safe and sound. "Draco something is wrong," Fonce whispered making Draco look at him. "What is it?" Draco asked worried,

"I can sense dark magic lurking somewhere but I can't locate it."

"Let's tell Dumbledore about this Fonce Harry could be in danger!"

"Don't be impulsive Draco I'm not even sure if its in here. All we have to do now is wait and if something goes wrong we'll fetch Harry." Draco agreed and waited patiently until he saw Harry apperate with Cedric Diggory. At first he was glad that Harry was safe but when he noticed that Harry was crying he broke down.

Cedric's father ran to his son crying at Cedric's cold corpse. Draco pulled Harry towards him as the raven haired cried in his arms. "He's back Draco," Harry choked out, "Voldemort is back he tortured me and killed Cedric." Harry cried in Draco's chest traumatized about what happened. Draco comforted Harry also feeling tears in his eyes. He couldn't bear his beloved to be sad and afraid of anything because of some bald noseless man who always fails to kill a teenage boy. He didn't want Harry to live a life hiding just to protect himself, he wants to protect Harry from anyone who dares to harm him. Harry deserves the world and he would give that to him if he had to. A strong hand was put on Harry's arm and Draco turned to see who it is.

"Harry come with me." Mad-eye commanded, "No he isn't going anywhere Professor! Don't you see he's traumatized about what happened, I won't let him go anywhere." Draco snapped holding Harry away from Mad-eye, "Mind your own business Malfoy, Harry is coming with me." Mad-eye was about to pull Harry away from Draco but was stopped by Fonce who's eyes was ebony black instead of red. "I don't think so," He snarled, a surge of red light enveloped Mad-eye as he screamed in pain, his appearance slowly change and he dropped weakly to the ground. "As I suspected Barty Crouch Jr. a death eater, seems like you run out of polyjuice don't you Professor." Fonce mocked as Crouch struggled from the hands of the Aurors that were pinning him down. Dumbledore even give the death eater a harsh glare knowing that this man killed his own father which was a good friend of the headmaster.

"The Aurors will take care of Crouch, so Mr.Malfoy would you please take Harry to the clinic, Madam Pomfrey has some calming draughts to stable Harry's consciousness. After that would you please meet me in my office I have things to discuss with you my dear boy." Dumbledore spoke giving Draco a pat on the shoulder as the blonde proceeded to do the headmaster's orders. "Don't worry love I'll be back." Draco whispered to Harry who was passed out from crying, he gently lay Harry on the soft sheets and traveled to the headmaster's office. "Licorice Snaps," Draco muttered the password which he thought was pretty weird whilst heading to the office. He knocked three times before entering, he was surprised when he found that the headmaster was with Professor. Snape his godfather.

"What's going on?" Draco asked confused, "Its about your father Draco he ordered me to send you this message privately." Snape explained handing the letter to Draco. The said boy opened the letter noticing the worried glare of Dumbledore and Snape as he read it.

Dear Draco,

There has been a problem with the Manor lately so you'll be spending the Christmas holiday on Hogwarts for your safety. You know that the Dark Lord is plotting to kill Harry and today he decided to barge in my Manor together with Peter Pettigrew. Your mother, Narcissa has move out to France and you'll be not seeing her in a couple of months before this issue has settle down. I know that you are safe there at Hogwarts so please do not plan to come back in the Manor cause I will not forgive myself if you will suffer the same way as I did. Stay with your godfather Severus for the time being because I already told the order to protect you so please stay in the light side. Be safe Draco don't worry about me I'm fine being alone with the Dark Lord as long as he will not harm you and your mother. Promise that you will not sacrifice yourself to save me because that would make me a failure of being a father. Stat safe my son and always remember that I love you and your mother.
