Harry's POV

The second competition for the Tri-Wizard Tournament has started and Harry wondered on where the heck is Draco at. He really needed the cute blonde now especially that this was the second competition. He needed his comfort and warmth to not make a fool of himself in front of everyone. But he was just gone and Harry was really worried for him.

"It's okay Harry maybe he's just on the crowd already and just preparing to cheer for you." Hermione comforted the very worried raven haired. "I'm just worried about him Hermione, anything could happen to him at this time. What if he's hurt and just waiting for me to save him,  what if somebody took him away from me I can't just sit here Mione I have to do something." Harry stood up and tried to leave but stopped when Ron entered the tent.

"Mate the competition is starting the other contestants are waiting for you." Ron informed, "But I have to find Draco." Harry protested earning a smack from Hermione. "Calm down Harry, Draco's fine so focus on the competition before you make a fool out of yourself. Then after that we will find Draco okay so don't stress yourself out." Hermione scolded him, after collecting himself Harry left the tent receiving a hug from his two friends who wished him luck.

Draco swam across the cold waters avoiding the icy glare of the mermaids. He didn't know what the second competition was about so he just swam around looking for clues on what he's going to do. His eyes widened when he saw bodies, not just bodies it was students! Among them was a certain blonde that he was longing for. He stared at Draco for a moment and realized that he is indeed pretty. Even if he is underwater Draco's pale skin and blonde hair still stand out, he was like a pearl in the dark waters that gleams brightly and Harry's heart skipped a beat thinking about it. After taking a good look at the blonde he swam towards Draco and broke the chains that was on both of his wrists and feet. He picked up the blonde gently leaving the dark waters as the effect of the gillyweed run off. He breathe heavily then he felt someone clutched his shoulder, "Harry?" A familiar voice called him and he turned around spotting a now awake Draco beside him. He was holding Draco's waist and he flushed when he realized that the blonde was clutching his red T-shirt Draco's warm hand on Harry's chest. Shrugging his thoughts away he took Ron's hand and lifted himself up the water, he then offered his hand to Draco and the boy did the same.

The next day the Great Hall was filled with excited murmurs and delighted squeals. The school decided to host a Yule Ball for the Tri-Wizard Tournament and everyone was excited about it. Harry didn't wanna come though but was forced since he was a contestant on the Tournament.

"Who are you gonna take for the ball Harry?" Hermione asked as the said boy poked his food with a fork not in the mood to eat.

"I don't know Hermione, I don't have any idea about who I'm going to go with on the ball, I mean is it really necessary." Harry answered finally shoving a piece of bread on his mouth slightly nibbling it.

"You have the whole week to find a date mate, don't worry I don't have one too." Ron commented and Harry just nodded. His gaze was soon fixed on the Slytherin table finding a particular blonde hair on the crowd. He stared at the blonde for a minute and Draco finally noticed that someone was staring at him so he decided to look up meeting Harry's gaze. Draco turned light pink when Harry smiled at him, he tried to smile back as the raven haired chuckled at his attempt. This caused Draco's face to grow redder so he just focused on his meal instead of the grinning Gryffindor. 'Stupid Gryffindor always making me blush," he thought as he stabbed a bacon on his plate.

Draco's POV

"Fonce do you have a date for the Yule Ball?" Pansy asked and Draco turned his attention to Pansy and Fonce's conversation. "Nah I think I would take that third year Ravenclaw instead." Fonce muttered taking a sip on his orange juice, "You mean Avery?" Draco asked, "Yeah that one she's pretty nice." Draco raised his eyebrow at Fonce staring at him weirdly then smiled knowingly. "For once in your life you finally had a crush!" Draco exclaimed as Fonce glared at him, "Its not a crush I just think that she's nice and what about your raven haired boyfriend huh isn't he taking you to the ball."
Draco blushed and Pansy laughed at his expression, "Sh-shut up he's not my boy-boyfriend." Draco stuttered and glared at Pansy and Fonce who was laughing their arse off. "Oh really Draco you act like a married couple especially at Potions when Professor's Snape not around." Pansy replied, "We're just friends!" Draco protested, he hoped that they would stop teasing him cause they're attracting attention and he doesn't like the stares that they were giving to him. He wished that Blaise was here but the dark haired was nowhere to be found. "Do friends hold each others hands and flirts around when they thought that no ones looking at them." Pansy added twirling a strand on her hair and smirked victoriously when she saw Draco's expression. "You saw t-that?" Draco asked horrified, "Didn't you know half of the students thought that you and Harry were dating." Fonce replied and Draco paled, this couldn't happen being friends with Harry is more than enough and if Harry planed to be more than that then he would ruin his reputation. He always messed everything up and he doesn't want Harry to get hurt because of him. Hearing no response from Draco Pansy and Fonce became worried when the blonde's mood dropped they tried to cheer him up but failed and Draco's expression remained like that for the rest of the day.
