It's been a week since I lost Esther.
It's funny how you don't realize how much a person is present until is gone.
Now I notice that Esther woke me up every morning with a "good morning sunshine!" or a "rise and shine cutie!"
She was always happy, always joyful.
She picked what dress or shirt I was going to wear everyday.
We used to talk for hours and goof around all the time and now she's gone.
I decide to walk a little bit in the garden.
I inhale the cold air as my cheeks freeze a little... I like it.
I get to the place where there's crap ton of dandelion flowers.
I take one and blow, the wind helps a little and I smile.
- Esther loves those flowers. – I hear a voice behind me and I look back to see Manu standing there.
I just realize we haven't spoken this whole week, I barely left my room and I guess he was giving me space.
- Yeah, she came everyday to blow one and then leave. – I say looking at the flowers.
- You want to hear a cool story about these flowers? – He asks smiling.
I nod and he gets closer to me.
- In the immortal Kingdom, your dad's kingdom, before you were born, your dad had the idea of the flower and he design it in a paper and then it became a reality and he went on and on telling everyone that you were going to love it. – He stops and smiles, grabs one and admires it for a little bit. – but then, you were born and as you were giving your first steps he took you there so excited and you walked and played with dirt. – He laughs and blows the dandelion flower. – So Esther would take you everyday and blow one so you could see the "magic" of it. But, still you would walk away and play with dirt. She tried for a while but you just loved to get dirty and laugh about it. Eventually she just did it because she fell in love with the dandelion flowers and your dad said that even though they were yours, she's allowed to take care of them. – He looks to the sky and smile.
-
- So you guys never grow old? – I ask carefully.
He looks at me and laughs, - No, we don't. Your dad created them with the age they are now. –
- What about you? –
- I'm... I'm infinite. I'm not only immortal but don't have a beginning nor an ending, only three of us are like that. Your dad, our spirit and me. – He looks at me and I'm lost in his eyes, I look away.
- What about me? – I ask silently.
I hear no answer. When I look at him I know it.
- I have to find the letter. – I say it almost to myself.
- It's just that if I tell you now you'll end up having more questions that I don't think they're important right now. – He gets closer to me.
He put his mouth close to my ear and whispers, - I love you. –
Then kisses my cheek.
We start walking back to the house and then a question pops again.
- Wait! You said in my dad's kingdom everything's perfect. Right? –
- That's right. No crying, no pain. Jus freedom! – He says proudly.
