I couldn't go to school, I feel so bad about Rudolf's death and a big part of me keeps blaming myself for it.
I'm on my way back home, just walking and crying.
Why everything I touch gets broken? Why is it that I have such bad luck?
Rudolf was just being nice to me, he was trying to be a friend and now he is dead. Anastasia was also just been nice and now she just blames me for her father's dead.
I'm glad I got to know that old man, because for once, someone was just being nice.
I get home and I see my bike where I left it 3 days ago. Can't believe it's been 3 days, so many things happened during that time and now I'm here again, back to the routine.
I open the door and I'm surprised to see my foster parents here, they supposed to be working. I look at them and they don't seem worried at all for me, they just look surprised.
- Hey. - I manage to say, tears keep dropping onto my face but I can't be able to stop them.
They look at each other without saying anything, maybe I should continue talking. - So, what are you guys doing here? - And just as I end the question someone comes out of the bathroom.
- All right, it's all set, you will have the money by the end of the week. - This man with black suit and white shirt says drying his hands with his pants.
He bounces his head up and looks at me, he smiles evilly and look at my parents.
- Look who decides to show up, a little too late though. - He says laughing and my foster parents laugh as well.
- What is going on? - I ask confused.
- What? Hm, let's see, you were missing for 3 days Sophia, which means all the money that the government was suppose to give is gone now. - He is such a brat.
- I wasn't missing, I got sick, I was at the hospital all this time. - I say nervously, tears finally stopped.
- The thing is... Well, the rules are Sophia, that if you don't sleep here for 3 days in a row you lose the money, those were the rules that you agreed to when you were sent here. Your poor parents were so worried that they called foster care and well, they're going to keep the money. –
I look at them, almost begging with my eyes but they look away, they hold hands and smile at each other, the planned this.
- No, no, no! Please! I need the money to get out of here. Please! - I start crying again, I touch their hands but they let go off me, I'm on my knees, begging, but they don't seem to care.
They're laughing, laughing at me.
- Call the hospital, it's called Heaven's Hospital, Doctor Emmanuel took care of me - I say standing up, looking at the idiot with black suit.
They all out of nowhere stand up and look at me shocked. Did I say something wrong?
- Doctor Emmanuel? - My mom or whatever she is asks angry.
- Yes. Why? -
But before they can clear it up the idiot looks at her then at me.
- Well, you can thank him for taking away your money. - He says and I stand there, realizing I have nothing left, literally. - You can leave now, Sophia with no last name... Again. –
- I have to get all my stuff. - I say trying to walk to my room... Old room.
He stops me, grabbing my arm tightly.
