More of the Softness, Less of the Cold

The coffee tastes crisper
when it's poured from your hand
the morning is brighter
and the evening is soft
the scarf round my neck
is tied so much tighter
when you wrap it around me
to keep me from the cold.

The songs now are sweeter
when they play from your phone
the moments are longer
and the kisses are warm
the hand in my own
is holding much tighter
the breath mists out longer
noses red from the cold.
