How can he be like that? Why in the hell is he throwing a pen at us? I feel the glare he's getting from Nathan because it burns my neck and ears looking at him. Mess with Nathan, it's fine. Mess with me while Nathan see's you, he will flip his lid. He's even argued Sasha more than a handful of time.

"What was that for?" The words came out harsh from Nathan, sounds almost evil in a way.

"It slipped." Danny replied, still smirking like a fool. His eyes seem fixed on me even though Nathan is the one talking. This prompts me to look at Nathan, pleading with my facial expression.

"Nattie, leave him alone, okay? We don't want any trouble." His body relaxes letting me know he's not going to fight but he his eyes stay scowled towards Danny. Oh fun.. What has my life become. Two boys are sitting here scowling at each other but none of them has ever talked to each other before. Hell, I haven't talked to one of them until yesterday. Is it bed time yet? Think all this needs a pause button.

"Ally, what is going on?" he gestures to the pain in the ass and I just scrunch my nose rubbing my forehead..

"Do I look like I know? Nothing has made sense since yesterday and don't think you're gonna figure it out either" He huffs then turns around taking his cookies with him as. The teacher begins talking. I feel the cold shoulder all class from Nathan and the sharp heat from Danny burning a hole in my face starring so hard. Just a few more classes and I can make it home. Hopefully tomorrow everything will go back to normal.

The class finally ends, Nathan walks me to my next class but takes off to go to his. He's never acted like this before and I don't know what to expect of him. He's always the level headed one, he knows how to avoid drama. He's witty and sarcastic but he can be so sweet and kind too. He's not like most the people here. He's super anti-social so I never thought others would become between us. Maybe overthinking it but.. not seeing his normal cheerful self is new to me.

I make it through this class, not much happened but a discussion we had to write notes on and going to lunch for 45 minutes. we finally got back from lunch, we usually have 15 minutes of class after and we normally just talk. Meaning them, I sit on my phone listening to music.
Two more classes after this. Fifth period is always the most boring. I don't really have any friends besides Nathan and he only got two classes with me, 3rd and 6th period. What a jerk, we argued about not getting enough time together then we both took less classes together. We're trying to take classes we know will need to graduate and for the careers we want in the future.
I'm not sure what I want to become and he doesn't tell me that stuff. For best friends he's very closed up. I try not to think about this and scan the room, people are talking and on their phones. Music is playing quietly in the corner, some are writing, most are packed up, ready to go. I've been packed, staring at the clock counting down the time. I want to talk to Nathan and figure out what's going on.. the bell rings and I'm doing my normal routine of waiting for every else to go. I glare out looking to see if Nathan came to pick me up from class.
With hope in my eyes, I see him. He leaned up against the lockers across the hall waiting for me. Relief fills me up as I rush out the door, pushing through them. I hug Nathan as he rests his arm on my shoulders, we begin walking to the next class like this.
"Nathan, why did you get so angry at 3rd? Looking up at him, I feel his body stiffen then he lets out a sigh.
"he was watching you the whole class, the longer he watched the more angrier I got. It's like he was watching his new prey." He cringed. Actually cringed.
"I didn't notice" I lied.. something told me if he knew I knew, he'd act out.
We are half way to the classroom when someone walked by quickly knocking over Nathan's books he was holding in his hand. I look to see who did it.
Fuck that guy, seriously. It was Danny, looking at Nathan with an evil grin.
"Sorry about that" he mumbled shifting his face from evil grin to monotone before Nathan was able to see.
"Fuck you.." he said picking his stuff up then grabbing my hand, dragging me along after him. We make it to class and sitting down before he lets go of my hand and his anger.
I let out a sigh and pull my class work out, math is the worst but someone has to do it. As the teacher goes on about pie, not the food, Nathan and I are passing notes to each. First it's playfully, drawing of smiley faces, hearts, dog faces, then it sneaks into this Saturday at his house and making sure I can come to talking about Danny throwing the pen and knocking his stuff onto the floor. That's when the bell rings, Nathan always leaves early cause his last class is across the school. He has to run to make it there. He presses a friendly kiss to my cheek then takes off after slipping the note into my hands.
I watch him leave with the herd at the door then open the note up
"Be careful, don't trust him" I sigh and smile. Protective is sweet on a man. Even if it's in small gestures. Having someone care like that is wonderful. Folding the note up putting it away, I slid out the door. Taking a left, 7th period class is right next door. The fact that it's right by the front doors and my locker was really convenient. How close it is to Sasha's lockers and her groupies, unfortunate. Ignoring my fears, I walk up to the line waiting outside the classroom door.
