"No, Skylar. I swear if you ask one more time.." Luke didn't even finish his sentence, hoping that Skylar would catch on to what he was trying to say.
"Luke, we already ate a lot of McDonalds and I don't need to go shopping, I brought a dress," Skylar pushed, not giving up on the arguement.
"But last year we went to dinner, shopping, then out. We've already missed out on the dinner and I don't want to skip the shopping. It'll just be "out." how boring is that?" Luke stated, shoving his hands into the blanket they were laying under.
"It's not boring at all, actually. Shopping is more boring than going to a strip club," Skylar said, making a good point out it.
Luke thought about this. He thought about skipping the shopping and just going to the strip club. But another thing is that he was worried for the strip club and he was trying his best to put it off - even though he didn't want to put it off, if that makes sense. The last time they went to said place, Skylar got a little too drunk and became aannoying to Luke. She noticed that and it upset her.
Luke sighed, knowing that he wouldn't be able to put off the club forever, and nodded his head. "Fine, we can skip shopping, but I'm not happy about it."
With that, Skylar kissed Luke on the lips and sat up on the bed. "When are we going?"
Luke shrugged and clicked on the phone that was resting beside him on the bed. "We can go now, I guess."
Luke was still frustrated. About everything. And if Skylar knew the reason why he was trying to make this trip almost as good as the first, she wouldn't want to skip anything. If only she knew.
"Come on, then," Skylar said, bouncing off the bed and grabbing Luke's hand when he stood up.
Luke almost sighed at the touch of her hand. He found it strange how someone could have such an impact on him. Like whenever she touched him, his body would go numb and it's like everything else in the world became less important besides her touch.
'That's why you're going to propose,' Luke reminded himself. He never forgets the reason, but whenever he's stressed, his mind goes blank to a lot of his feelings. It scares him.
The cold wind of the outside world whipped Luke back into reality and his eyes squinted against the sun due to the dim lighting of their room.
Luke almost suggested walking, but knowing how much Skylar hated the cold made him call for a taxi, and besides, he didn't want them to catch a cold or something.
Luke dialed the nummber for the popular Taxi Cab Needs place and waited and waited. And waited. No body would answer and Luke was about to blow up from anger. There they were, freezing heir asses off and nobody in the taxi cab buisness would answer their phone.
"Fucking assholes!" Luke exclaimed, feeling every ounce of calmness fade away. He knew that if anything else went wrong on this trip, he would blow it off and just give up on everything. Or perhaps actually explode. Like a grenade.
"Of course they wouldn't fucking answer, right??" Luke shook his head and rolled his eyes and did about every physical thing to show his anoyance because for some reason, one of the physical acts didn't seem like enough.
"That's all I wanted to do was get me and my girlfriend a ride to a fucking strip club because it's cold as balls and she hates the cold! Is that so much to ask for?" Luke said to no one at all, and added, "Of course it's too much to ask because I can't get what I asked for."
Skylar shook her head at her boyfriend and tried to stop his pacing - which he'd started doing when he was calling the place. When she had actually made him stop moving, she pulled him into an unexepected hug and just held him there until his arms found themselves around her.
"Lukebaby, calm down. Please. I really, really, really, really appriciate you trying to get us a cab but it's okay that we can't get one. The club is literally a few blocks from here."
Luke could have cried at himself and his dumb acts. He's just so frustrated that he felt as if he couldn't handle anything anymore. When his muscles relaxed and he felt less of a grenade, he let out a looonng sigh and placed his hands on either side of Skylar's face. "I love you," he reminded her and, before she could reply, placed his lips on hers.
"I love you too," she said the second they were away from each other.
Luke let out another sigh and grabbed her hand. "Lets go, then."
And with that, they started walking in the direction that Luke knew was the srip club - he really did do his research and he was thanking his past self for it.

"I spy something small," Luke said, taking his turn of the I Spy game the two were playing.
"That bird," Skylar guessed, prefering to perhaps one the smallest birds Luke had ever seen.
"It is small, but no," he smirked, proud of his skill at such an easy yet difficult game.
Skylar grunted and threw her free hand into the air - the other hand was occupied with Luke's. "I give up!" She exclaimed, angry at said game. This is why she hated games. She sucked at them.
"It was the snail we passed like ten minutes ago," Luke said, giving out his answer.
Skylar almost pushed Luke over and away from her. What idiot would choose such a stupid thing to spy and have someone try to guess. "Well no wonder I couldn't find it, you asshole!" Skylar exclaimed and then added, "I hate you.
Luke only smiled at her and said, "No you don't," folled by him shoving her shoulder with his own.
No matter how long the couple would be together, Skylar would never get over how much she liked when Luke did that. It was a simple shove from his shoulder but for some reason, she loved it.
"I don't," was all she said because the strip club came into view and Luke let out an excited noise.
But the noise soon fell into a happy laugh as Luke set sight of the building. It wasn't the old strip up they knew. Nope. It was just a regular club and for the first time tonight, Luke's feelings didn't boil up to a screaming pitch of anger. Instead, his feelings smiled at the glee it felt.
"Finally. Something will go right," Luke muttered and automatically regreted his words because something felt off when he said it. As if the air bent around his words and allowed the few silables to float in the air, waiting there until Luke tested his theory.
And as Luke grabbed Skylar's hand, he crossed his fingers as tightly as he could because his whole body ached with the want of things to go right.
