I looked up at the building of my apartment complex and sighed. For some reason, I felt nervous for coming back here. I don't know why. Was I worried that Yunho might yell at me in anger again, for leaving him, like he did when we went out to eat noodles? I guess that's the reason why.
I reached the door of my apartment faster than usual, or maybe my fear made time pass by even faster. I looked over at Yunho's door; it still looks locked. I quickly opened my own door and slipped inside and into my kitchen, dropping my backpack onto the ground.
"Kyung?"
I yelped with surprise, not expecting someone to be in my apartment. I grabbed the knife on my kitchen table and faced the source of the voice.
Yunho.
"What the fricking heck, Yunho?" I yelped. "You shocked me to death!"
"You're still alive, though, aren't you?" Yunho answers, grinning mischievously.
I grumpily growled in reply, annoyed at his cocky grin.
But then, Yunho's gaze softened. "Are you okay, Kyungie? Why did you leave me at school alone?"
I dropped the knife back on the counter and wrung my fingers. "You don't really need to know," I answered sourly.
"I'm your best friend. I'm worried about you," Yunho answers as I opened my fridge and grabbed a carton of orange juice.
I sighed as I took a glass from the cupboard and poured the juice into it. "You really don't need to know, Yunho. I'm perfectly fine now."
"Where did you go?" he asked. "Wooyoung and I were waiting for you here for hours."
I almost spat out all the juice from my mouth. "What? Wooyoung was here?"
"You didn't greet him in science class," Yunho states. "He's worried about you."
I looked away and drained the last of my juice. "You don't have to worry, Yunho. I'm fine now."
"But where did you go?"
"KQ."
"Why?"
"Just to talk with Jongho."
Yunho sighs. "Kyung, you and I both know that you never go to KQ just to talk with Jongho. He told me you once told him that you only come for the latte and not to meet him."
"Would you believe me if I said I was kidding about that?" I asked.
Yunho sighed deeply, giving me that look.
"Kyung, tell me truthfully. What happened?"
I sighed as I placed my glass gently into the sink. "I got bullied by someone."
His reaction was something I didn't expect.
"What?" he exploded. I turned to him with surprise. His eyes were ablaze with anger and he looked just plain annoyed. At my terrified face, he tried calming himself down. "By whom?" he added quietly. "Wooyoung?"
"What the heck is wrong with the both of you?" I exclaimed suddenly, taking him aback. "Why do you and Jongho assume Wooyoung hurt me? He's too nice to do something like that!"
I think.
Yunho took in deep breaths. "I was joking about that, but seriously, who bullied you, Kyung?"
"I don't even know her name," I answered. "I just know that she's an upperclassman, and a fangirl of Wooyoung."
Yunho looked taken aback at the news. "An older student who is also one of Wooyoung's fangirls? Seriously?"
