Yunho
As soon as I arrived at my apartment complex, I rushed up the stairs and approached Mikyung's door. I knocked it rather hurriedly, excited to find out whether or not Wooyoung has already asked her out yet. I was, of course, very puzzled not to receive a reply.
"Kyung?" I called, knocking on the door again.
No reply.
Panicking internally, I tried to open the door. It wasn't locked. I entered her apartment and began searching for her.
"Kyung!" I called, looking under the dining table and in her bedroom and behind the couch and even tried the bathroom, but she is nowhere to be found. I bit my bottom lip anxiously.
"Kyung!" I call again. "Mikyung! Where are you?"
After ten minutes for searching, I sighed and plopped onto her couch, staring at the ceiling. I gripped my phone tightly and dialed her number. I placed the phone on my right ear but paused when I heard a song play in Mikyung's bedroom.
Her ringtone.
I entered Mikyung's bedroom again, following the sound of the ringtone. I yanked the blankets off her bed, and found it there, shining brightly. I sighed and stopped calling, pocketing her phone in my pocket. When I closed her bedroom door again, I glared at the ceiling and sighed.
Where is she?
I pulled out my phone again and dialed another number. I placed the phone to my ear, tapping my foot worriedly. Then I heard some rustling, and then a voice.
"Hello?"
"Jongho!" I exclaimed. "Is Kyungie with you? Please tell me she is!"
"No, she's not," Jongho answered from the other line. "Why? What happened?"
"I don't know," I muttered. "I just left to talk to Wooyoung and when I came back Kyung was already gone."
"What happened before you left to go talk to Wooyoung?"
"Well, I was just asking her about why she didn't go on homework dates with Wooyoung, and then she said it was because he chose to go with other people, but then I asked her if she was fine and—" I realized something and groaned.
"What?" Jongho's voice sounded urgent on the other line. "What's wrong?"
"She said she was fine about the fact that Wooyoung chose not to go with her, but she was probably lying about that," I said, massaging the bridge of my nose. "I am so dumb."
I heard Jongho mutter something incoherent on the other line. "If that dumbo Wooyoung hurt Mikyung's feelings, I swear I'm going to—"
"Don't murder Wooyoung," I quickly interject. "She still likes the guy, remember?"
Jongho grumbled on the other end. "Fine. But can you please make sure Kyung is alright? I really don't want her to get hurt."
I smiled at his protectiveness over Mikyung. "Don't worry, Jongho. I'll find her."
"Thanks," I could imagine Jongho smiling as he holds the phone to his ears, toying with his apron or busy making a cup of coffee for a customer. "By the way, do you want to talk with Gunho for a while? He looks very anxious to talk to you, he's been poking me if he could do so since the very beginning of this conversation."
