"So, did you apologize to Wooyoung already?" Yunho asked as I plopped onto my seat next to him. I turned to him, who was grinning cheekily.

"Dolt," I grumbled. "You literally saw me enter the classroom with him."

"I know," Yunho shrugs, smiling playfully. "I was just making sure. By the way, did you get another cupcake and note today?"

"Yes, I did, actually," I nodded, showing him my half-eaten cupcake. "But I left the note in my locker."

"Well, do you remember what the note said?" Yunho asked.

I recited the note to him as best as I could. Yunho's brow furrowed.

"It's like he's tempting you to find out who he is," Yunho decided.

"I know, right," I nodded. "I find it a bit...annoying."

Yunho laughed. "Don't worry. It's going to be fun. But before we start, we need safety precautions."

I raised my eyebrow. "Safety precautions?"

"Yeah, of course," Yunho shrugs. "I mean, have you not read the books or watch the movies about where someone has a secret admirer and they end up climbing over fences and breaking into houses just to find out if someone is their secret admirer?"

I cocked my head. "I thought you don't read books."

"I don't read often," Yunho corrected. "But the point is, we need safety rules: Rule Number One, no breaking and entering into people's houses."

"Yunho—" I began, but he cut me off.

"Rule Number Two, no stealing."

"As if," I rolled my eyes, but I couldn't help leave a smile on my lips.

"Rule Number Three," Yunho continues, ignoring me, "never investigate alone. It may not be safe."

I laughed. "Yunho, we're not going to go that far. What you just said had nothing to do with finding out about my secret admirer. It's more for an illegal gang selling drugs and stealing art pieces or something."

"Now you're scaring me. Are you going off to do illegal crap now?"

"No, that is totally not what I meant!"

Yunho laughed. "Kidding."

I rolled my eyes. "Jaeeun and I didn't go this far, don't worry. The most extreme thing we did was investigate the boys' toilet for clues. Nothing much."

Yunho stared at me with horror. "You went in the boys' toilet?!"

I looked down sheepishly. "Yeah? Wasn't my idea, though. It was Jaeeun's."

Yunho massaged the bridge of his nose. "This is why I need to give you safety precautions. You are unbelievable."

"I am," I smiled. "But seriously, that wasn't my idea."

"I know," Yunho sighs. "Anyway, how do you and Jaeeun usually do things?"

I tapped my chin. "Well, we usually arrive to school very early in the morning. That's how we try to find out who my secret admirer is. But whoever this person is always comes earlier than us, somehow. I don't know how."

Yunho scratched his head. "Even before the gates open?"

I nod. "One time, Jaeeun and I came when the gates were closed. Nobody else was there. But when we reached my locker, the cupcake was there, along with the note."

"What did that note say?" Yunho asked.

"I think it said something along the lines of, Don't even bother trying to find out who I am, Mikyungie, I always come earlier than you do."
