Chapter 11

Camille had her bags all packed and was waiting for Luke to pick her and Aj up. As usual , hindi na naman siya mapakali.

     " Ate, are you sure about this?"tanong ni Rochelle na nakaupo sa living room kasama si Camille.She looked worried and concern sa naging decision nito.Ayaw na rin niya kasing masaktan ang kapatid. Alam ni Rochelle na may masasaktan sa set up na ito pag bumalik na sila ng US.
          " I'm not sure. Pag kasi si Mommy ang nagrequest, I couldn't say no.And I was thinking about Mommy Elise's request, the look on her face. Para naman akong nako-konsensiya kung hindi ko siya pagbigyan," sagot ni Camille and she sighed

  " You are always soft hearted," sabi ni Rochelle at niyakap ang kapatid." Ayoko lang kasing makitang masaktan ka uli eh. You are always thinking about other people, pa'no ka?

       Niyakap din nito ang kapatid." How did I deserve a sister like you, huh," sabi ni Camille and kissed her sister's forehead.' If I haven't thank you yet for everything that you have done for me, past and present, thank you so much."

        " If anything, I mean anything happens, come home, okay. Kung nahihirapan ka doon, please leave okay,"sabi ni Rochelle na nakayakap din sa kapatid

     Tumango si Camille. " are you going to be okay here?"tanong nito sa kapatid.

       " Ate naman. Of course, I will. Ikaw nga itong inaalala ko eh. Don't worry about me here," sagot ni Rochelle.

           Sinalubong sila ni Mommy Elise and Daddy Andrew. Pag ka park na pagka-park ng kotse ay lumapit agad ang mga ito sa kotse. Lumabas sa car si Luke at binuksan ang passenger seat para makalabas si Camille at Aj. Inilabas ni Luke and mga luggage nila at kinuha ito ng mga katulong.

       " Hello Baby," bati agad ni Mommy Elise kay Aj at binigay ni Camille ito sa kanya. Humalik siya dito at ganoon din ito sa kanya.

        Lumapit siya sa kay Daddy Andrew that gave her a kiss and hug which she did the same.

       Pumasok sila sa loob." Joan, ilagay mo ang gamit ni Aj at Elle sa dating kwarto ni Lu," instruct ni Tita Elise sa katulong.

       " Lu, Tee's room is ready for you,"sabi nito and she and Daddy Andrew with Aj keep walking towards sliding door leading outside.

       Camille was rooted to spot. She turned to face Luke." Tee's room?" Tanong nito looking at Luke."What does that mean?"

       He smiled at her. " Mom and I decided it is best that I move back here while you and Aj are here so I could spend more time with him. I don't need to go home late at night. I'll just be a room away from him"

       She was stunned. In the same house with Luke! Luke staying on the other bedroom. Heat sweep all over her body. She swallowed. God! What did I do? I don't think this is a good idea.

       Luke saw Camille's expression." Are you okay, Elle?" tanong ni Luke.

       " I was just surprise. You didn't tell me you will be staying here too,"sagot ni Camille.

    " Why?" he said and smiled. The same smile that melted her heart before." Is that a problem? Does it bother you that I am close by," he added. "At least, nasa kabilang room lang ako if you need me," and wink at her

      She  knows that he is teasing her now and may ibang sabihin na ang 'if you need me"crap nito.

  Inirapan niya ito." No, it won't be a problem ," and walked away but she can hear him chuckling

 

Pagod na pagod si Aj sa kalalaro kasama si Luke at ang parents nito. Seven pa lang ay nagsimula na itong maghikab.

     " Pagod na si Aj," sabi ni Mommy Elise na hinahaplos ang ulo ng apo.

     " I'll get him ready for bed, Mom,"sabi ni Camille na kinuha si Aj. 

    "Let me kiss the baby good nite,"sabi ni Tita Elise and kissed Aj. Hinalikan din ito ni Tito Andrew.

      Umakyat na si Camille sa taas. Ang dating kwarto ni Luke ay may sariling bathroom ito.

       Pagdating sa loob ay hinubaran ni Camille ang anak ay dinala sa bathroom. She turned on the water sa tub and tested it. Nang palagay niya ay okay na ang temperature ay ipinasok niya ang anak sa tub and started washing him.

    Aj loves to play in the water and he was splashing water everywhere. Dahil sa gabi na at pagod na ito ay hindi niya  pinatagal sa tubig.Natapos na niyang bihisan si Aj ng may kumatok. Pinapasok niya ito.Luke went in and stopped in his tracks. He has a weird expression in his face and was looking at her.He staring down at her shirt.She looked down at what he is looking and saw that her shirt was wet from Aj splashing the water.The outline of her body can be seen and her bra dahil dumikit ang suot niya sa katawan niya.

      She instantly pulled the shirt. " Ummm.... I was giving Aj a shower. Napagod kasi at inaantok na. I was getting him ready for bed," parang wala sa sarili na sabi ni Camille." Can you stay with him while I change my shirt?"

    He smiled. "Yeah, of course,"sagot nito.

    Dali daling kumuha ng new shirt si Camille at pumunta sa loob ng bathroom.Nang nasa loob siya ay gusto niyang mainis sa sarili .She felt heat rise from her body again when he remembered how Luke had stared at her. She calmed herself. Nagpalit siya ng damit at lumabas.

       He found him lying in the bed next to Aj. Nakahiga din si Aj and was facing Luke sideways with his face close to Luke's chest. Luke was stroking his hair and humming to put Aj to sleep. Nakapikit na ang bata. Luke looked up. Hindi ito huminto sa paghum pero sumenyas kay Camille sit in the bed next to Aj.Her heart ached from the way they looked. Umupo siya sa kama sa tabi ni Aj. Humiga siya sa tabi ng anak, stroking his back. Siguro ay napagod din si Camille dahil hindi nito namalayan na nakatulog na siya.
