16: Planning a summers ball

You heard your alarm go off..wait, why was there an alarm? Oh yeah, school. Yes, unfortunately the time has come for school to start again and oh were you excited. Though grated, you did skip Monday because you spent time with your mom, basically her making sure you were ok with continuing going after all the change, you of course said yes and that you'd be fine. You got up and stretched, opening your eyes, you realized..everything was back at your actual home.

"Shit" you muttered, You completely forgot. How were you supposed to run over there and to school in time? Hell, how where you supposed to escape your mother?! You ran a hand through your slightly tangled hair..You could call Kokichi, though he might already be there. You sighed and decided to worry about that after you cleaned yourself up. You finshed with the rest of your usual morning routine. After you finished brushing your hair, you went to see what clothes you had in the bags you had, when you noticed.. your scarf. The one Kokichi made for you, was laying on top of a bag, witch you had yet to open. You grabbed it and put it on, feeling something poke you. You pulled out the little thing and saw your charm.
"Huh?! I really left that in there..? I could've sworn.." you shrugged and placed it back in, also made it to where it wasn't poking you. You got dressed in a okay looking outfit and headed downstairs to make a coffee.
You saw your mother down there, scrambling around. You wondered what she was doing, so you walked closer
"Wh-" she turned

"Y-Y/n! I'm so sorry!" She pulled you into a hug, A tight one at that.
"I-I just got a call from work, They said they needed me! It was so sudden, I'm so sorry" she pulled and ran to get her bag. You gasped for air, and looked at her.

"I-its fine, where do you work now anyway?" You asked, coughing slightly. Geez this woman was strong

"Oh! I work at a hospital nearby! Its all i can do for now..and apparently there's an emergency" she slipped her shoes on and gave you a quick kiss on the cheek
"I'll be back by the time school is over, I promise dear. I'm sorry again.. Have a good day" she ran out the door, leaving you in a state of shock. Well.. you couldn't actually blame her for work this time, If someone's life is on the line or something you didn't care if she had to leave like back then. Plus, you could finally be away from her for a while!

You get your shoes and headed out the door. You hurried to the school building, it being futher now, You made it just as the bell rang. You sighed.. today would be difficult. You walked in and to your classroom, seeing everyone was there. You said hello, and greeted everyone and went to your desk. You were surprised to see your school bag was there, Did Kokichi bring it for you? Speaking of the grape, where was he? You glanced around and didn't see him anywhere. You shrugged it off.. he was still disappearing in the morning you guessed. You sat down and set your bag aside, glancing out the window..what was it going to be like now? Its all to familiar but so different now.
Your thoughts where interrupted by A familiar boy walking behind you

"Y..Y/n?" He said. You looked and saw Shuichi, having a guilty look on his face
"I..wanted to say sorry for what happened..I-"

"What are you talking about?
You didn't do anything, Shuichi. What happened was out of our control" you smiled. He stared at you.. seeming surprised, After what Kokichi had said to him that one time, he supposed you maybe didn't want to go back. That this was bad and you'd be mad. He fixed his hat to avoid your eyes, your smile was making him a bit embarrassed. You chuckled and tried to start a conversation before class started, it was actually enjoyable. 

After a while, the teacher came in and began class.. You still didn't see Kokichi. You didn't know why but not being around him was hard to deal with.. it was like something was missing and it almost hurt. You could barely pay attention.. you just stared out the window. You were excited to be at school but only because you wanted to be with everyone including that weird leader, So it would seem like it was all the same.. not to mention you haven't seen them in a few days. You were to flustered to be in class right now, so you raised your hand
