It was lunch time, and your class was exited for the dance coming up, day after tomorrow. The boys seemed to be on one side, and girls on the other, talking and talking as if they were normal high school students.

You were casually eating your favorite food, Not really caring since Well, it was just another fun activity with Kokichi for you. But apparently, it was a big deal for some of the other girls.

"Has anyone asked you yet Tenko? A guy maybe?!" Keade asked. She puffed out her chest

"No way! As if i would accept a no good males's invitation anyway! I'm the one who'll do the asking around here" you tuned out when she started stuttering about Himiko. You looked on the other side of the room, Wondering what the boys were talking about. Surely not about girls and this whole dance thing.

"You looked Sooooo ridiculous! Hahahaha, i couldn't take you seriously!" Kokichi laughed as he laid back on a desk. Rantaro chuckled sheepishly

"It was kinda embarrassing" he said rubbing the back of his neck.

"So you already asked Y/n to the dance Kokichi..?"
Shuichi asked. He smiled and sat up, Pride visible in his face.

"Yup! I mean, she would only say yes to me anyway. She's a real heartbreaker you know" he stated
"Though that could be a lie~" Kaito then came over

"I'm planning on asking Maki! Just as friends though haha." Shuichi kinda gave a confused look

"Is it really that important to ask..? I mean, we're all going right? Won't we see each other there anyway?" Shuichi said, and he was right. Even the ones you wouldn't expect to go were going. Some how they got convinced by someone, but no one (honestly just our main character-) really knew who but it didn't matter.

Kokichi sighed and placed his arm on Shuichi, leaning on him looking bored and unamused.

"You just don't get it, don't you hat boy? WE have to do it if we don't wanna be totally lame" he said dramatically. Shuichi still didn't see the point.

"Thats kinda the point..it's just nice to ask and for the girls, nice to get asked. It makes everyone feel good in a way" Rantaro added
"Trust me, when one of my sisters get asked, they never stop talking..dont make me say what happens when they don't haha"
The younge detective gave a slight 'ooh' in realization.

"Yeah! As a man, it's our job to make the ladies feel good about themselves" Kaito said.

After all that chatter, Class went on as usual.
You couldn't stop thinking, a few hours from this time tomorrow..everyone would be having fun getting ready for a dance. You've heard students and your classmates mention it being a magical night. Hope's peak never had anything like this before, no prom, home coming dances, all because the school was to focus on the students and their talents.

Why was the school even having a dance?
If you were to ask any student who attended the school before you, either hardly any students were there, or it would be filled with tests and such. You remember hearing about an incident a few years back, where they had multiple repair jobs to the building because of a few kids.

Maybe with a new generation, comes new fun things?

"We're sorry ma'am, we've looked everywhere! It's like they just disappeared"

"Well, keep searching, search homes, Find more suspects. That equipment is dangerous and could cause another worldwide disaster..people could be killed"
The men on the other side of the desk looked at each other

"Ma'am, we've told you, no one has been to that island except the usual crew and..they've gone missing. The only new hint of evidence, was that blurred photograph"
The woman sighed

"Call my husband.
This time in two days..we'll be searching there"

"You mean..!"

"Yes, soon we'll be investigating at Hope's peak academy"

You yawned, walking out of the classroom, bag in hand.

"Man today was a boring." You said

"Ugh, I know right? Shuichi was being so dumb earlier!" Kokichi said. You chuckled

"You ready for tomorrow?"

"Hell yeah! Oh, But you aren't" he ran infront of you and quickly pushed a package in your arms.
"Dont look until you get home, ok? It's a surprise" he winked. You, questioningly nodded

"Alright alright I won't."

"Upupupu~ tomorrow! Tomorrow's the big day! Soon, soon! The upbringing will commence! Broadcasting systems, ready! Chambers, ready! Everyone, coming such as planned~" she shot herself back in her rolling chair to a wall, with a framed picture
"Soon my love, soon! I'll accomplish what you've attempted all those years ago..I won't fail you" her red nails gently drifted across the photo..a yearning that will soon be fulfilled.

You walked in your bedroom, gently shutting the door. You walked over and placed your bag on the floor, and package Kokichi gave you on the mattress. You slowly began to open, fearing if it was a prank but to your sudden surprise..it was an outfit

A shortcut dress that grew longer in the pack, of your favorite color, white and black. It had leggings to go with, along with some long evening gloves and a mask, similar to the one from phantom of the opera..but one thing that stood out was a hair piece.

It was a beautiful flower, a rose no less, the inside purple and outside the color of your eyes. It was metallic, shining beautifully in the evening sun through your window. You smiled, walking over to a body mirror in the corner of your room

"Haha..oh Kokichi. You out did yourself. Soon, I'll be able to wear it." You blushed a bit holding the flower near your hair

Kokichi was casually setting up his outfit for tomorrow, a black, purple and white tux with a cape and gloves, a mask such as yours but for the opposite side. He hummed as it was all spread out in your old room..Kokichi missed you so much, so he decided tomorrow would be the day.
He pulled out a small box with two rings inside, each one had one of those drama masks on the top, and inside each ring were an inscription. The one he planned to be yours said

'Forever a light, an angel and the one he found..yet she actually found him. Forever to be together, (Y/n) promises'

His said;
'Lost with nothing, covered in lies yet unearth..a truth that burns bright. She his truth a thief of his heart. Forever to be together, Kokichi promises'

He blushed at the thought of Tomorrow..he had the perfect plan! Your song playing, the spotlight on you both..then he'll ask you to be his girlfriend and show you the promise rings.

Soon! You'll be his for sure soon.

Yet, soon for everyone, never did come or it was to late.

Hi everyone! Sorry for not updating in forever, my old phone broke and I recently got a new one! I kinda had a fall out with writing and DR, but I'm willing to work on the story more!
All the previous chapters were prestory chapters, meaning they took place before the actual game, and originally, I was planning on adding the game based chapters in this book, but I wanted to ask, would you guys want a second book for that? Or should I continue to write in this one? Let me know!
