Yoongi soon finished unpacking with the help of Jimin, and they chatted for a while about nothing in particular. Eventually all of his posters and producing equipment as well as basketball trophies. Oh yeah, by the way, Yoongi's the captain of the basketball team...

"Hyung... What's your favorite restaurant?" Jimin asked while fiddling with a toy basketball he had given Yoongi as a small friendship anniversary gift not too long ago. Yoongi looked up from his computer, looking over at Jimin who lay sprawled out on his bed.
"Hmm, that's tough... I think Shimsontang, it has amazing spicy topokki.." Yoongi replied quietly, too set upon staring at the younger's features. They'd been best friends for so long, they practically could feel each other's emotions. Right now, Yoongi could tell Jimin wanted to say something, he kept fiddling with his toy, and not his usual bright self, always asking Yoongi about new tracks and about his basketball team. Yoongi rolled his eyes in annoyance, "What is it, Minnie? You know there's no hiding your emotions from me." Yoongi said, completely whirling around in his chair to face Jimin fully. Jimin pouted his absolutely adorable pout, plump lips sticking out perfectly. And oh how Yoongi wished- no Yoongi. Focus on Minnie. Not his lips. Yoongi brushed off the thoughts, giving Jimin his undivided attention. The younger seemed to tense under his fixated gaze, but eventually, Yoongi could feel the younger's reserve crumbling.
"So Hyung, you know Taemin, right?" Jimin asked, not meeting eye contact with Yoongi as he said it. Yoongi scoffed, at the thought of him. He was a semi-nice kid and all, but couldn't play basketball for his life. Plus he was way too touchy-touchy with his Jiminie, another reason not to like him.
"Yeah.." Yoongi muttered bitterly. Even by hearing the younger's name his ears burned and stomach coiled.
"So.. uh... uhm.." Jimin tried starting a sentence but the words just wouldn't form. He didn't know why he was so nervous to tell his Hyung, but he was. Yoongi rolled his eyes playfully and nudged the younger with his foot.
"Spit it out, you dork." Yoongi smiled goofily, totally unprepared as to what Jimin was about to say next.
"I'm dating him!" Jimin blurted out, face turning a brilliant shade of red. And at that point in time, Yoongi felt his heartbreak into tiny little pieces. He had known deep down that there was little to no chance of him being with Jimin, but his heart was too big to let it affect him. Now he regretted it. Jimin, the person he was entirely in love with, was dating another person. Sure, Jimin had flings before, but none lasting more than a few weeks. Yoongi knee-deep down that they hadn't really meant much to Jimin. But for some reason, this one had a huge impact. Maybe it was how Jimin was touchy-feely back to Taemin, or the fact that he seemed to brighten around the presence of the other, Yoongi might not know. Yoongi managed to croak out a "That's great!" which thanks to years of pretending that everything was fine when it really was, it sounded quite believable. But he could see concern flash behind the younger's eyes, but it soon quickly vanished, replaced with relief.
"Ugh thank you, Hyung! I wanted to tell you sooner, but everything's just been so hectic and everything... We've been dating for a few weeks now, and I thought you should know on our one month anniversary. Since you are like a big brother to me and all!" Jimin gushed our, smiling like a little child, eyes turning into crescent moons. Yoongi felt like he was about to cry, but even under the circumstances, his heart found bliss in the younger's smile, causing him to feel slightly at ease. Knowing that the sting of the younger not telling him sooner would soon become bigger later when he had left.
