The pounding began to die down the longer Yoongi laid there on the bed. After what seemed like hours, he heard a soft voice resonate throughout the now silent apartment."Hyung do you want to talk to me?" Jungkook asked, deep concern in his voice. That hit Yoongi hard, the fact that Jungkook came back to see him just because of this whole fiasco. Yoongi sniffled loudly after that, the tears slowly beginning to well up.
"N-not really Kook..." Yoongi answered, barely above a whisper. Jungkook seemed to not take this answer though because he began to persist.
"Come on Hyung, if you don't want to talk to them at least talk to me," Jungkook said, a tone of finality yet slight uncertainty lacing his voice. It made Yoongi think twice and sigh soundlessly.
"Look m-maybe we can t-talk later..." Yoongi said, a hiccup racking his body after his sentence. Jungkook made an unsatisfied grunt on the other side of the door.
"Ok, Hyung," Jungkook said quietly, his footsteps walking away from the door. At that, Yoongi flopped his back on to the bed with a silent huff.
He laid there staring at the ceiling, a feeling of emptiness slowly creeping inside him like thick black vines stretching across a wooden fence. It was sickening, and his mind was slowly becoming devoid of any thoughts. But the growing sensation was abruptly stopped when the doorknob began to jiggle, and his only protection was opened.
Yoongi sat up straight when the door swung open, a small puff of air flew into the room. All six of his friends stood on the other side of the door, Jin looking furious, Taehyung looking woeful, Jungkook looking remorseful while holding a Bobby pin, Hoseok looking immensely concerned, Namjoon seemingly tired, and then there was Jimin.
Well, he couldn't really see the younger because he was hiding behind the others, only a tuft of his own hair peeking in between the shoulders of Jin and Taehyung.
A sniff escaped Yoongi's lips, wiping away the tears that were now threatening to spill.
"Hyung what happened?" Jungkook asked, being the first to come forward to comfort Yoongi. He sat beside the older and placed his hand on his back, rubbing his back in soft and small circles.
"I fought Taemin," Yoongi said, voice lacking any emotion. Nearly all of them gasped, and Taehyung began giggling.
"That bitch got what was coming to him," Taehyung said, making Yoongi crack an exceptionally small smile, but it was gone in an instant.
"Yeah, but the piece of trash nicked me with the ring that he always wears. I broke the shit out of his nose though. You should've seen it, blood everywhere." Yoongi said quietly, beginning to take an immense interest in his bloodied knuckles as the tension in the room eased and small laughter escaped some of their mouths.
"Yoongi where did you go though?" Jin asked, taking a step forward and crouching down to be level with Yoongi.
"I slept in the library and slipped out at 4. Then I went to a convenience store and Taemin happened to be there." Yoongi said quickly to put it short.
"Why didn't you come back?" Hoseok spoke up, taking a small step forward.
"I knew that there was at least someone that would be waiting there to see if I came back or something, and I didn't want to talk to any of you at the moment," Yoongi replied, a dry chuckle escaping his lips. Namjoon nodded at this, and also walked closer to Yoongi, but not as close as Jungkook was.
Yoongi sighed quietly in the quiet silence that followed, not even trying to look up at Jimin, knowing that the younger probably wasn't even looking at him or wanted to speak to him.
"Please don't scare us again Hyung, I don't think we can take Jin's shouting and Jimin's sobbing anymore..." Taehyung said, trying to lighten the mood, which made them all chuckle besides Yoongi and Jimin. A long stretch of stillness came after this.
"Can I have some alone time now?" Yoongi asked quietly. Almost all of them nodded quickly and gave him a quick hug, but unsurprisingly, not Jimin. Yoongi shrugged it off as best as he could and turned around.
He brought the blankets as close to himself as he could and curled up. He was definitely exhausted, to say the least, and he wanted nothing more than to stay in bed until he physically could not anymore.
He was just about to drift off to long-awaited sleep when he heard a small voice split the peaceful silence like a knife.
"Hyung, we need to talk."
