"Oh, that was easy right? I even named each variable to T's, instead of your common x's and y's."

"I know right, my friend? Actually we can use any kind of letters. Mine is h."

"Oh, so you really do made use of your algebra, I presume?"

"Aha! Yup! Letting our initial Hero's Health Point as h, adding and multiplying in every cases of every levels, and equating it to 2 since it's the condition at the end, I finally got my final equation!... And that is 8h - 58 = 2!"

"Oh, and by solving the equation in terms of h, you got the final answer, right?"

"Aha! Correct again, my little friend!"

"Oh, but did you know that we can also use the backward approach, sir?"

"Of course I do, my friend. We know already that the inverse of minus is add and times is divide, right?"

"Oh, that's right! Since the operations used from the riddle are simple subtractions and multiplications of 2's."

"And so, aha-ha!, starting from the end which is 2, we'll minus and divide until we arrive at the starting point. Hence, we'll get the final answer!"...

SAY WHAT?!

Suddenly we witnessed how geeks chat. That must have been what you imagined them conversing...

Epistaxis. Nose bleed!

Otorrhagia. Ear bleed!

But, fret no more, it's NOT what really happened...

Here's how it went...

"Aha! I got the answer!" He excitedly celebrated by carrying Taler by the hands while rotating and swinging him around like when a father plays with his child.

After a complete 360 degrees turn or two, He then stopped and put down Taler at his side.

"My answer is seven and a half! That must be the Health Points before entering the rooms, so that after exiting them, we'll get only two!" He made a victory pose.

"Oh, that was quite unexpectedly impressive," Taler was a bit shocked, "What method did you used, sir?"

We could see that Taler's expression was very eager to find out He's method.

"Aha! Trial and error, my friend! Guessing and trying! Ahahaha!" He proudly shouted, grinning.

An awkward silence engulfed the atmosphere...

Both Taler and Riddler didn't even laugh or smile, but a bit dismayed really. Their aura suddenly fell into silent. And there He is, posing still like a statue, like when the music has suddenly stopped in a stop dance party game. Awkward.

Taler then broke the silence, "Oh, so you're even proud of it, sir?"

He scratched his head and smiled awkwardly.

"Oh, but actually, I'm a bit awestruck, a bit impressed and amazed really, as you have answered it so fast, even though you made that exhaustive method of yours," Taler said with his expressionless face.

"Well, it's not really a sheer foolish luck, if there's such a thing," He reasoned out, "It's just that I've always like number seven, for I dare say, it's the complete number for me. So I tried that out first. And it turned out a bit lacking, so I tried eight instead but it went further."

From serious look with his explanation, He started to grin again, proudly claiming that he really got the answer, "Therefore, I thought, aha!, seven and a half! I even checked it thrice!"
