Chapter 25

Knocking on the door roused Sam the next morning. He was disappointed to realize that Colby was no longer in bed with him and sat up slowly, blinking to clear away the last of the sleep fog from his brain.

He stumbled to the door, barely remembering to put a shirt on before throwing it open. Mostly because, while Alison had been fucking with him about the mark on his neck, there was no disguising the fact that Colby apparently had a kink for marking him. Which, shit, he did too, about Colby, but that didn't mean he wanted his whole family to know.

He swung the door open to find his mom with her hand poised to knock again.

"There you are. Breakfast is hot and waiting downstairs and then I need you to get dressed to come with me to pick up Ben"

Sam nodded, "Okay, I'll be down in a minute"

"Don't let me come back up here and find you sleeping" His mom warned him.

Sam nodded, mumbling a "yes ma'am" because hey, he did not need to get bitch slapped this morning by his own mother.

He closed the door and surveyed the damage from last night. Most of the items on the nightstand were now on the floor. The top sheet from the bed had somehow ended up twisted and curled over one bedpost while the corners of the fitted sheet had come undone.

Sam had a vague memory of doing that, but it was hazy given the fact that at the time he was busy blowing his brains out through his dick.

He was also unsurprised to find their clothing strewn about haphazardly all over the floor and one suitcase, presumably Colby's, had vomited its contents onto the floor surrounding it.

Sighing, he got to work straightening up everything. Ten minutes later and most of it was back where it was supposed to be, and he could actually see the floor again.

That taken care of, he dressed in jeans and stole one of Colby's shirts to wear. What? It was comfortable, plus it smelled like him, but that was just an added bonus.

Downstairs he was unsurprised to find his dad gone. He usually worked during the day, for most days, Sunday through Saturday. But only for a few hours on the weekend.

His mom also worked, but she generally worked the night shift at the local hospital and, in her words, just got used to not sleeping so even still she was up when the rest of the house was. Sometimes she took naps before her shifts but not always.

Sam presumed Alison was out doing whatever it was that she did. She was home for the week, something about taking a forced vacation from her job. So she decided to come here instead of staying at her apartment, which honestly Sam couldn't blame her about. One thing that he'd learned about living alone was that it could be hella lonely, and he imagined that that was the same way Alison felt sometimes.

He served himself food and sat down at the table to scroll through his social media, before one tweet, in particular, caught his eye. It had been tweeted at him by one of the fans and the title alone made his blood run cold. It was one of those TMZ type websites and the headline was "Has social media star Sam Golbach found someone new?"

He didn't have to scroll down very far before he saw his own face plastered all over the front of the web page. Some part of him wanted to read it, but he knew he couldn't do that, it was too scary.

"Sam, honey are you okay?"

He heard his Mom's voice but it sounded like it was coming to him from a distance. This could not be happening, things were supposed to be happy now, and this, this did not fit into his cloud nine daydreams.
