Chapter 16 | Tú

Narrator POV

The rain was still pouring heavily outside.

The movie was halfway through, they were snuggled in the blankets and Mia's eyes were glued to the tv. After all, it was her favorite horror film.

Holly and Jensen were about to open the sealed door in the middle of the snowy mountains, when suddenly.....

Bam

Mia turned to look at her left shoulder and found an absolutely knocked out V, snoring.

"Ugh seriously man? This again?" She grumbled.

He was unconscious, probably not hearing one single word.

She tried shaking herself so he could wake up, but that was a mistake because as soon as she did that...

Boom

"What the f—"

His head slid down over to her lap.

Mia's eyes widened, she started blushing like crazy.

"Arghh pinche chamaco (fvckin kid)!" she whispered-growled.

Not even having the tolerance to try and move him anymore, Mia decided to just let him be and finish the movie.

As soon as the credits showed up indicating the end of the movie, Mia picked up her phone and started going through her schools website to see what assignments were going to be given out next week.

As she did that she started humming her favorite song, Tú.

She started singing in a low voice but loud enough for anyone within arms reach to hear.

Without even realizing, Mia started sliding her fingers through Taehyung's hair, still looking at her phone and singing.

She loved doing that.

Well, more like she was used to doing that. She'd always sing to her kids when they'd have a bad day or had trouble napping. She'd caress their hair and sing them a song until they'd fall asleep.

They loved the sound of her voice. They found confort in it.

Mia usually doesn't like singing in front of anyone, but when she's alone and knows no one is listening to her, it suddenly comes out.

In this case, Taehyung was fast asleep so he most likely wouldn't hear her.

But the thing was that...

Taehyung was awake.

Right after the movie ended and Mia started humming, it woke him up. But he didn't want to move because she had started ruffling his hair, and he was enjoying it.

But after the humming, when he heard her voice, he was astonished.

With her stroking his hair and hearing the sweet, soft sound of her voice, it was just so perfect. He didn't want to ruin the moment. She gave him a comforting and at home feeling that he's not felt anywhere else other than with his Hyungs.

So she does sing, and not even just that, her voice is unbelievable. He thought.

She still kept singing and stroking the man on her laps hair, now caressing the side of his face too. Taehyung could not get enough of it. He wishes he could stay like that forever, in her arms, feeling as safe and warm as ever underneath her touch. Forgetting all his problems and worries.

Mia suddenly stopped and looked at the time on her phone, "I should probably make something to eat, it's late," she murmured to herself.

But before she got up, she turned her gaze down to him.

She studied him for a moment, admiring his side profile. His soft tan skin, his long beautiful eyelashes, and his luscious dark pink lips.

"What a ridiculous man," she chuckled while shaking her head.

She carefully lifted his head so he wouldn't awaken and set a pillow under it.

Taehyung whined mentally.

Yahhhhh

She picked up the mugs from the coffee table and headed to the kitchen to put them in the sink.

She turned the stove on and grabbed all the ingredients she needed for the meal she was about to prep.

Then, his phone started ringing,

again.

It kept ringing through the movie while Taehyung was knocked out, but Mia was too lazy to get up and turn it off.

He didn't want to get up and answer because he didn't want Mia to know there was a possibility he was awake while she was singing.

Somehow, he knew her well enough to know she would freak out if she knew he heard her.

"Omfg! Who the hell keeps—" she went towards the phone and picked it up not even knowing who was calling. She didn't care, she was so annoyed by it that she didn't even notice the devices language was all in Korean.

"Hello!" She sounded bothered.

There was a long pause, but she could hear someone breathing from the other side.

"Taehyung-ah?"
