Now don't get me wrong, I love fan fiction as much as that other random otaku off the street, (read one of my works, "The Silver Alchemist") but if I see a fan fic that clearly shows the author's age after just reading one sentence I'm going to say something about it. Like yesterday.
I was pretty fond of one of the FMA fan fics on Wattpad. Once I decided to skip a few chapters and one of them seemed interesting.
It wasn't.
It has just crossed the line of mild OcXEd and entered the territory of, "I'm not sure this should be on Wattpad." Obviously someone in, if not just a bit above my age group. I immediately removed that book from my library.
And it's not just fan fics like that, but ones where the author obviously didn't stop to realize that Death the Kid's twin (defiantly me) would be reading this and freak out over the fact that his name is spelled "Jean Havoc" not "Havick."
Also, considering Full Metal Alchemist is my all time favorite anime, that really pissed me off. I almost stopped reading all together right there.
Yes, I realize that's putting someone who I don't even know on blast, but if I could comment (for some reason the function is broken) I would have written that anyway. I'm giving the author feedback on their work which is entirely what Wattpad is about.
"But still, that's not fair. You're a terrible person for putting her out like that."
I DONT CARE. That seems to be a crucial fact that your missing. Just be thankful I didn't put the actual name of the book. I'm not that cruel.
Vote if you think fan fictions are better than what most people are putting out.

The Hate Book
HumorThis is not "My Version" of Parogar's "Haters Gonna Hate", but it was an inspiration. I realize I'm going to offend a lot of people, but if I cared, I would have stopped writing a while ago. *Hardly any offensive language*
