As thoughts of you,
Only you, fill my mind,
Each moment, of every day and night,
I wait for you,
You, breaker of promises,
In this cold,
Under flickering lights.Day after day,
Staring into empty space,
Shamelessly do I wait for you,
You, keeper of my heart,
For you, and only you,
Who, in seeking fame, muted the world's cries. The mirage that was our love,
And my own reflection, which I have lost,
To you, and you alone,
The reason for my insanity;
And so I wait,
In this cold,
Under flickering lights,
For you, cold and alone,
My sole ally and only company,
The tears that warm my cheeks. You, sold my sanity and bought a pound of flesh,
You, threw me into the lion's den,
And then, you vanished, a fulgurous splash,
And I kept waiting,
For an empty figure.
And the figure trapped in my mirror,
Was never set free.~ 2018 ~
