Unknown's pov

The lock was far too easy to pick in her apartment. That girl was too stupid. Its so funny to think people like them think they're safe, think they're protected against any intruders as long as they've got a security system. I laugh loudly.

If they only knew....

I made my way through the dark, trying to find her bedroom.

Ill wait here until she gets home. She wont be long now. I sent her a text, pretending to be her friends, who's in 'trouble', making her rush home.

I am nothing if not patient. I will see a good plan through to the bitter end. And mine is a good plan. I only need her long enough to get the books. And then I can get rid of them both. Easy peasy.

My boss calls. "Yes. I'll bring her tonight. I'll have you the books by sunrise. Then I'll get rid of them both. Yes Ellie. I know. Kill them both"

Flipping my ancient cell phone shut and stuffing it in my pocket, I settle in to wait.
