Chapter 19
Caroline Wade
I walked downstairs to find Miles sitting on the island chair staring at the mug in his hand.
“Mom think you can leave us alone?” I whispered
“Sure honey I need to go to the office for a few hours I’ll be back before dinner.”
She kissed my forehead then went upstairs to probably change I walked towards Miles and sat beside him.
I placed my hand on his cheek and forced him to look at me.
“What’s wrong Miles?”
All I could see was sadness in his eyes
“She lied to me this whole time how am I supposed to trust her if she keeps lying to me?”
“Are you talking about your mom?” I said slowly
“Yes, who else would do this to me”
“Miles I know you probably don’t want to hear this but she can do whatever she wants your’re not her dad.”
“I know Caroline I know but you don’t understand her last ‘husband’ nearly killed me!” he said waving his hands everywhere
I knew that moment whatever I saw he won’t listen so I did the only rational thing I could think off I kissed him with all my might.
He didn’t respond for a few seconds then he kissed me back he placed his hands on both my cheeks and started to slowly stroke them.
We kissed until we both couldn’t breathe he pulled away leaving his forehead on mine.
“Wow” He said
Then it hit me I shouldn’t have done that.
“I’m Sorry Miles I shouldn’t have done that this is wrong I’m really sorry…”
He stopped me from talking by kissing me on lips for a few seconds.
“Shh… Don’t be sorry ok this is perfect your perfect i…I love you Caroline.” He said
“You can’t be Miles you can’t I will die and you will be heartbroken and I can’t Imagine…”
I didn’t know I was crying until he stroked the tears away from my eyes.
“Hey listen It would be a privilege to have my heartbroken by you ok don’t cry please.” He whispered
He hugged me and at that moment I knew that I loved him too
“Are you sure? It’s ok if you back out. I understand completely”
“I haven’t been more sure come on lets go for a walk”
“Sure, let me just grab a sweater and we can go.”
I walked towards the coat hanger and grabbed my favorite sweater and a beanie Miles helped me with my sweater and fixed the beanie for me I wore my flats and I locked the door and we started walking towards to the park.
We didn’t talk while walking it was silence but not the awkward type of silence we sat on the swings I didn’t want to ruin the mood but I had to ask him.
“Why me Miles?” I asked
“What do you mean?”
“Why did you fall in love with me.” I whispered
“What’s not to fall in love with when it comes to you, you’re so beautiful I can never stop looking at you and you funny without being mean, you care about others before yourself, and this might sound selfish but you’re the only person who cared about me enough to get to know me besides my mother I love you Caroline I love you with all my heart would you please be my Girlfriend?”
I nodded not being able to say any words I kept nodding until he started nodding then he held me and kissed me.
I wrapped my hands around his neck and kissed him with all my might.
“I love you too Miles and I would love to be your girlfriend.”
“Come on I have a surprise for you.”

Two updates in the same week, your welcome
So i have a few things to tell you
1) my other story (Time Machine) hit over 6K reads
2) school will start in a week or so which means the updates will be slow but i won't stop updating until it's done so maybe a couple of months?
3)I have made a trailer for this story and I'll probably publish it tomorrow
4) For those who are reading can you please comment if you want this to be a short story or a long one? if a short story it will probably end in a few more chapters if long then it will have at least 15-20 more chapters
