Right there in front of the wig shop stop a table for two with candles and food and there was rose petals on top with tea cups.
“Miles this is all so amazing thank you.”
“Nothing but the best for you he repeated.”
He pulled my chair and then he sat in front of me.
A cute guy wearing a shirt that had printed on it a tux pulled the cover from my plate then Miles and went into a car and drove off.
I looked around and it was getting pretty dark, I looked down into my plate and found my favorite Pizza.
“This is all so much Miles I really don’t deserve all of this.”
He stood up from his chair and kneeled beside me and put both his hands on my cheeks and whipped the few tears that escaped.
“Caroline you deserve this and more and if I had the money I would give you this and more but I don’t and I’m sorry but I love you Caroline and I will do everything in my power to make you and keep you happy we are going to fight this and you’re going to live for a long long time Okay.” He said
“Thank you Miles.”
“Don’t thank me Okay I’m going to be your rock and whenever you need me just call me or text me no matter what time it is.” He spoke and I knew that he meant it from the bottom of his heart
“Okay I promise Miles.”
“You’re going to outlive me Caroline you’ll see.” He said with so much confidence
We shared a brief kiss, and then he stood up kissed my forehead then went back to his seat.
“Eat up Caroline I have a few surprises after this.” He said biting into his Pizza
“You mean there is more?” I said shocked
“Well ya a lot more come on dig in.”
We ate our pizza and we talked it seems whenever I’m with Miles there is always something to talk about and even when we don’t talk it’s always comfortable silence.
After dinner me and Miles walked towards the park and there was a blanket and a lot of pillows he helped me lay down and we cuddled while watching the stars they were shinning so brightly.
“Here wear these” he said
He handed me some ear plugs and I put them on and suddenly a loud bang happened I looked at the sky and all the colorful fireworks made me smile I used to love watching fireworks in carnivals and all.
“I remember you told me you loved the star at night but also loved fireworks.”
I removed my ear plugs and leaned my forehead on his.
“Thank you Miles this is all too much you don’t know how much this means to me.”
“How much?” he asked playfully
I kissed him and for that brief moment I knew that I could fight this I knew from before that I had to fight but it was for my mom but now kissing Miles made me release that I need to fight this for me also and for Miles.
From that moment I knew that I’ll fight the cancer with all the power I have.
“I Love You Caroline.”
“I Love You Too Miles.”
We spent the rest of the night cuddled in each others arms under the stars I don’t know at what time I fell asleep but I just knew that I never been more at peace then at that moment.
I truly Loved Miles.
