I parked the car and waited inside the car thinking about the possible scenarios that might happen I sat in the car for half an hour.
I decided I could just go for it I closed the car door and walked to the main door and listened I could hear crying.
I quickly opened the door and listened for the sound and it looked like it came from the kitchen.
“Mom?!”
“Miles is that you?”
She came running and hugged me that same man came from the kitchen looking at me.
I held my mom behind my back and looked at him straight in the eye.
“What did you do to her if you laid a finger on her I will not hesitate in killing you!”
“Don’t look at me or talk to me like that young man this is all your doing.” He said
I turned to my mum giving this man my back.
“Mum what happened?”
“I’m so sorry I just thought I lost you I really meant to tell you about Brian” she said
“You meant to tell me. As in this has been going on for a while?” I said slowly
“Yes.”
“Mom what about no secrets?”
“Brian I think you should go.” My mum turned to the so called Brian
“Are you sure?” he said
“Yes” he came over to my mum and kissed her forehead then left
“want to sit down first?” she said looking at me
I shrugged then went into the living room
“Me and Brian have known each other since High school he was even friends with your dad.” She started
Then why haven’t I ever seen him before?”
“Because after High school he got in a university in your Europe, we met the day I went into the supermarket and you were with Nathan remember?”
“Yes mom I remember” I said
“Well we met in the supermarket and after we paid for our things he asked if he could have coffee with me so the next day we went out and had coffee and we just connected.”
I took a deep breath then looked at her.
“That’s what you said about William Mom remember.”
“I know baby I know but this time it’s different I promise” Mom said
“I’m going to go to bed”
“Baby please listen to me.” She said
“No mom because if it’s different you would have told me instead of going behind my back I know this is your life and it’s your choice to date whoever you want but I get hurt in the end I know you want to move on from dad’s death but don’t drag me into this you know what I’m just going to leave.” I said
“Miles no wait please.”
“No mom.”
I walked out of the door and started walking towards Caroline’s house I know she’s the only one I can talk to right now.
