The Oberois had wanted Annika to attend Shivaay's graduation, but thankfully she flew back home right on the convocation day. In the last couple of months, Shivaay had texted her a total of five times, but her monosyllabic replies had probably given him the message that she wasn't very keen on talking to him. It wasn't that she was heartbroken. Well, maybe a little. But more than that, she felt stupid to have been crushing on a guy who had a girlfriend. Annika wished she could at least be friends with him, but she knew her romantic feelings would only end up jeopardizing the friendship at some point. Staying away from him seemed like the best idea and so, Annika was glad Shivaay was leaving Boston. He would be completing his masters at Cambridge University. There was no reason for them to meet again, so Annika would finally be able to get over her crush in peace.
For the first time since she had met him, Annika was right. Because it was only three years later that she met Shivaay Singh Oberoi again.
