I'm definitely not a writer but I do love books and I love my story so here it is. Why did I decide to write? Well fifth grade was when my passion for books started though my passion for writing is lacking the need to remember is strong because dementia and forgetfulness runs in the family so this is me remembering and hopefully never forgetting. My parents used to read me a variety of books ranging from Nancy Drew to Runaway Robot and my sister too. Accelerated reader was a journey started in fifth grade as well. I always got more than enough points to go on the AR trips and get rewarded. In school some of the first books I liked was The Bone Books. Gasp!! (yes the graphic novels). Graphic novels helped me attach illustrations with words and sparked my imagination. The same year my class started the Percy Jackson Series The Lightning Thief which literally amazed me, I loved it so much. I always had a creative, artistic and imaginative personality, but books made it so much worse. It was like a cherry bomb exploded in my head. I realized books took you to new worlds and basically threw me from reality. I love of exploring through books. I have been a variety of characters like a DJ, mermaid, princess, alien, a kid, a different race, a different gender, and I was even in a band. I was anyone I wanted to be just through the books I’ve read. I get blasted into fantasy, romance, history, and anywhere ever you want to be. I’ve read a lot of books, and want to read more. I love experiencing other people’s lives through reading. I go on adventures and understand new people. If you learn nothing else from books you learn about people and their emotions. You connect with the characters and the author connects you to a world you’ve never seen before. This is my attempt to tell my story and my character.
