Sugar

When Tori's alarm went off at 4am the next morning she instantly wanted to die.

"Three hours. Three fucking hours" she groaned and rolled over in bed to find herself in the same clothes as last night. At least I'm alone, she thought.

With just enough time for a shower, she made it to set and headed straight for the cabin. Toby had told her last night that he was going to keep her working on with Rory, who was already sat there with two cups of coffee.

"Aye, I suspected you'd be needing one of these".

Tori smiled back at him through the mirror, before trying to focus her mind on what she needed to do.

"Is it not right? You'll have to tell me how you take your coffee for next time" he asked her a few minutes later as she slipped from the cup and scrunched up her face.

"I'm a milky three sugars kind of girl. And not that fake sugar shit, if I'm gonna be bad and have sugar then I'm gonna go all out".

"Thee sugars it is then".

The rest of the early morning was spent attaching the scars, wig and then the make up. This would be her normal routine for the next two weeks, each morning Rory would bring a sugar filled coffee and she'd work in silence as he read through his lines.

Each night Tori would get room service to her small hotel room and eat in bed as she watched rubbish reality TV. After a fortnight of the same routine, she finally decided to try dinner in the hotel bar downstairs with the rest of the crew.

"So you finally join us" Carice announced with a wicked smile as Tori walked into the bar.

Carice was sat with Michelle and Richard Madden, who played Cateyln and Robb Stark, Rory and Richard.

"I heard we had a new girl. A pleasure to meet you, best call me Madden to save confusion with the other 100 Richard's here" he winked as Tori sat down.

Tori just smiled softly at them all before picking up the menu. In the end, she decided to go with a large glass of white wine and a huge bowl of pasta. As the rest of them continued on their conversation, discussing the script and how long they were all in Belfast, Tori tucked into her food.

"So come on, spill the beans for us. You got a fella waiting back home?" Carice asked as everyone stopped talking and turned their attention to her.

"No, I left a pretty unstable relationship back in France. Not sure I'll bother with another one for a while" Tori shrugged.

"Can't let one toad ruin it for you. You're way to young to be giving up" Michelle replied.

"I've not giving up per say, I'm just not looking. If prince charming wants to come swipe me off me feet he's more than welcome too".

That made both the women laughed as Rory stood up to get another round of drinks.

"Let me give you a hand" Tori smiled, wanting to avoid any more questions,  as she stood up and followed him to the bar.

At the bar, she stood to the right of him as they waited for the bartender. To his left, Clarissa and a few of her friends stood chatting over cocktails without any notice of the new bar arrivals.

"The way she just goes and sits with the actors, not once as she tried to build a conversation with her own department. I can't work out if she's a little weird or thinks she's better than us".

"I'm personally glad she has not tried to chat with us. I honestly don't want to waste my time with her, she won't make a season anyway".

Rory looked over to Tori with a questioning look.

"Don't worry about it. I don't" she shrugged back.

"You heard them at it before?"

Tori didn't want to go into it and was thankful when the bartender finally came to take their drink order, but Rory wasn't that quick in forgetting.

"Is that why you keeping to your room every night?" he asked as they walked back to their seats.

From her silent shrug, he had his answer and quickly changed the subject as they rejoined the group. The rest of the night he ended up staying pretty quiet as he listened to the rest of the group. By 11pm he'd had enough though and stood to leave, just at the moment when Tori had also thought the same thing. When she realized Rory was also about to leave, she blushed heavily and said a quick goodbye before darting from the table.

"You're not staying at the hotel?" She asked in a surprised tone when she realised Rory wasn't heading towards the elevators.

"Nah, I have a sailboat by the docks. Means I can just sail back home after".

"Get out. Man that must be nice to have a little place of quiet from the rest of it all".

"Well you'll have to come check it out one time".

Slowly, a smile built across her face as she seemed to actually look at him directly in the eyes for the first since they'd met. "I'd like that".

The next morning, Tori headed off for her usual routine. Part of Rory's beard  had started to grow back again, so she first started with a shave.

"So you still into your baking?" He asked as she pressed the blade to his cheek.

"Yeah, baking is my passion. Cant really do it whilst I'm working here and living out of a hotel room though".

"Ahhh that's no excuse for not bringing me any baking. We've been working together a few weeks now and not one cookie. You know, I have a little kitchen on my boat" he winked.

Tori rolled her eyes. "Quit talking or I'll end up cutting your cheek".

For weeks, she had struggled with leaning over him to apply the make up and scars, and today was no difference. Having enough of it, she finally decided to stop being a shy mouse.

"Spread em" she smiled and looked down at his long legs.

"At least by a man a drink first" he scoffed, but slowly moved his legs wide apart.

Smiling, she moved between his legs and began applying the scar. As she carried on with her work, she could feel him watching her intently and it sent a warning under her cheeks. Rory had no idea how much he was effecting her, but enjoyed watching her chew her pump bottom lip as she studied the make up.

"Can I ask you about the scar on your cheek?" He spoke after several moments in silence.

"I dont really talk about it. It's not a happy story" she replied without looking at him.

"Course... Sorry".

Suddenly, Tori took as step back, just still stood in between his legs as she brought her eyes to met his in an almost serious look and in a whispered voice she spoke "dont be".
