"So what do we do now?"
Tori and Rory were both sat on the floor of the make up trailer. Leaning against the wall with their legs out before them, neither had managed a word in the last five minutes. Even now, as she asked the question, he couldn't find the words to speak, there was no way to explain what was going on inside his head. Instead, and to the somewhat surprise of Tori, he twisted his body towards her and reached out to pull her jawline towards his.
She didnt fight against his touch or move away. This was everything she had dreamt about, missed for so long. When their lips finally touched, she felt as though her entire body was melting into him. Gradually, she moved her body to straddle his as the kiss became more and more deep, more hungry. His hands had trailed down her back to cling onto her bum, holding her towards him so desperately like he was almost too scared to let go.
As they parted for breath, Tori ran her hands through his hair and pressed her forehead against his.
"I can't go through losing you again," he spoke barely above a whisper.
"You won't."
"Promise me!"
Smiling, Tori stood up and moved to stand in front of him. Taking his hand, she looked down at him with the most serious and true stare she could. "Rory McCann, you grumpy, messed up, perfect, caring, clever and gorgeous human being. You are stuck with me forever, like it or not, you will always be a part of me. You have my heart, and I'm not going anywhere, ever again. I promise."
Rory could hardly believe what was happening, but he believed every work she spoke, every particle of love which was bouncing between them in such high voltage electricity. With a groan, he pulled himself up from the ground and moved his forehead back to hers.
"What you doing tomorrow night?"
"What?" She laughed.
"Tomorrow? I want to take you out for dinner."
"Like a date?"
"Yeah a date. What do ya say?"
"Yeah... I'd like that."
"Grand, but I have to warn you. I'm a classy guy, I have my three date rule. So don't think you can go taking advantage of me now."
"Oh sure" she scoffed as they took each other hand and walked out of the trailer together.
The next day, the world somehow seemed a little brighter, a little lighter as Tori travelled from her apartment to set for another day of work. The previous night, Rory had walked her all the way back to her front door, and then left. A huge part of her wanted him to stay, to go upstairs and spend the rest of the life making love, but that was it, they had the rest of the life, they didn't need to rush things.
"Will you quit," she laughed as she tried to do this make up the next morning.
"I've not been able to touch for years. Can't a man place a hand on his ladies hip?"
"You're gonna mess up your face."
"Small price to pay" he laughed and slapped her ass. "So where do you fancy going tonight?"
"I dunno, you asked me out. You have to plan it. Come on Mr. Classy Gentleman."
"Right." He smirked.
Later that day, Tori headed out to location with the crew. Today, Rory was shooting his scenes with the Brotherhood Without Banners a few miles East of Belfast. Tori was cleaning some of her brushes when Rory walked past her with a wink as he was called to her first scene.
"You guys seem to be doing better than yesterday" Richard, who played Beric, smirked.
Tori only smiled with shrugged as he walked away with a laughter. For the rest of the day, each time Rory had a spare moment, he would rush over to her and whisper a flirty comment in her ear. At the end of the day, she returned to the make up trailer and got Rory out of his costume.
"You planned this date then?" She asked as she removed the wig.
"Oh yeah, and you best be ready for one hell of a night."
