Ghost Story In The Park

I woke up to my phone buzzing like crazy. I looked and saw I was in a group text with James Gavin and Dylan. I got dressed in a pair of bright red high waisted shorts with a black top. I had an oversized sweatshirt over my outfit and a pair of thigh-high white socks with little bows on them and my black converse. My hair was put into a messy bun and I walked to SPR. I was staring at my phone as I walked in and sat down, not bothering to say hello to Naru or Mai.

J:Dude where are you?

G: YA girl?

D: Ya my main bitch where is YA!?

E:I'm at SPR may I remind you that's my JOB!!

D:Gahhhh we wanted to hang today! ;(

G: ya can't you skip one day? :/

E: no I am staying here. Sry guys but we can get dinner tonight if you want?

J:ya that would be a good idea!

D:let's go to CHUCKY CHEESE!! :D

I closed my phone just as Masako walked in. She told Naru about a case that takes place in a nearby park. Apparently a spirit has been attacking couples with water. Naru said he would take the case and before I knew it, we were at a park waiting for Ayiko. "You do know what Ayiko will say" said Monk and then did an imitation of Ayiko

"This is clearly the work of an Earth spirit" he said in a sassy voice. "Wow mink that was perfect!" Said Mai. "This is clearly the work of an Earth spirit" said Ayiko as she appeared. Me, Mai , Monk and John chuckled after she said this. "Now that everyone's here lets get started. Ms. Hara he said and turned to Masako. "We must all act as live bait. So let us split into couples." She said and Ayiko immediately went to Naru. "I'm the only one who doesn't look out of place on Naru's arm" she went on about until Masako stepped in. "You two look more like brother and sister. But I however...." She said but I cut in.

'You look more like Naru's little sister, and Ayiko looks like Naru's older sister. I honestly don't think anyone would be a good days for Naru' I signed and crossed my arms when I finished. She looked shacked and slightly angered. "Actually, Emmy you don't look like Naru at all. I think you should be his date" said John and I turned to look at him. He smiled innocently and I blushed brightly. Naru linked my arm with his and looked down at me. "Let's just get this over with" he said and we walked to a bench on the other side of the park. I sat down and the others say on a bench opposite of us but on the other end of the park. I sat uncomfortably next to Naru. 'This is so weird'

I thought as I stared down at my lap. I could tell Naru was looking at me but I ignored it. Monk came up to us and said "Masako says we have to be more in character to attract the spirit" he said and I signed,

'Should we be making out or something'

Monk chuckled and Naru grunted. "That certainly would work. Maybe you should try" I stood up and punched his arm. He held his arm in pain and left back to the group. They finally picked dates and started to act like couples. They ended up with John and Ayiko, Monk and Mai, and Masako stood around waiting for the spirit. Naru stood up and offered me his hand. I took it and stood up with him.

(Naru's POV)

I grabbed her hand and helped her stand. "I guess we better get in character" I said and held her hand in mine. She blushed and looked down. I smirked and gave her a small kiss on the cheek. She blushed even brighter and looked at me with wide eyes. "Shall we" I said and held my hand in hers as we walked along the pathway of the sidewalk. She looked beautiful even in a more walk-around-the-house outfit. She chuckled as she saw John chasing a frisbee that Ayiko had thrown. I looked at her face and saw a beautiful smile on it. She looked at me and blushed. I quickly snapped out of my daze and got lost in thought.

'Why don't I just ask her out?'

I thought

'I mean, I obviously like her. Why not take a chance?'

I took a breath and was about to ask her when I heard Masako. "Naru! Their here! Come quickly!" She said and I followed her while still holding onto Emmy. I stopped as Masako did and watched as she stared at Mai. "A women right behind Mai. She looks to be in her mid twenties..." Her sentenced trailed off as she fainted. "Ms. Hara!" I said as Emmy caught her. "What happened?!" Asked Monk. "I don't know!" I said back.

(Emmy's POV)

I caught Masako just before she fell. "What happened?!" Asked Monk , "I don't know!" Replied Naru. Masako started to shake with laughter and stood up. She laughed until she threw her head back. A dark shadow covered her eyes showing that she was possessed. "Serves you right!" She said in a laughing tone.
